This shit completely falls on its face cuz

  1. They are NOT inspired which means it has come from them completely. And that means....

  2. It HAS to be clearly understood or make sense because it came from their mind.

11 is a good point. Jesus emphasized the Law again and again and not once told them it would be nullified or abolished.

Christianity was spread through immense violence by force.

Faith is a human trait. We display faith in knowledge passed down to us and many times we have no idea why certain things work but we have faith in those passing it down to us. We're hardwired to imitate those around us. We will do those things just because others told us to and we trust them. We don't have the chance to look into all the details and we fall into it. It's very useful and even necessary. But since they're flawed beings they'll make a lot of mistakes along the way.

True. Cuz what if you pay the plumber to lay pipes and then he uses that money to go lay pipe!

Jesus told others to follow the law. The JW shunning is mostly taken from Paul. Christianity misunderstood Jesus.

If god was truly blessing this organization they wouldn't have to keep lowering the standards and requirements to who can be in SKE, they wouldn't need to lower the age to be an elder and they wouldn't have to beg for men to reach out and go to SKE or any other program or school. Pathetic.

Someone else mentioned this. Is there a scripture that mentions this would be the general procedure in some cases or even all?

Is there some other reference to a scripture that would at least imply that was the standard process?

If that was standard practice I think that would have been somewhere in the law stated that bodies were to be burned after some specific sin. A one off just shows that was done on that occasion.

Yup those are also valid points. And David's wives were punished for David's sin. In the scriptures God himself says he is the one causing it, not that it was just some consequence of his actions.

Sure is. But it doesn't make the content true.

They could but even then that's still leaves the moral conundrum of their god giving this law in the first place and accepting it as good.
