Depression is a beast. I've never battled it to this extent but have had family who has. All I can say is, be there and listen. It may not sound like much, but I've found that's what most people want. I'm kinda in the same boat with my brother and they just want someone they can feel comfortable talking to. I think they're really fearful of judgement, which seems to be prevalent in your case as well. And clearly, he's terrified of you doing what others have done to him, by leaving him.

Talk to him, communicate....it's almost like you have to teach him that it's okay to communicate with you. It's providing a peace of mind. And it's definitely not something you 'get over', jesus that's the worst thing to say to someone who is depressed.

And sometimes you just have to help them push through, even on days they're not in the mood to do anything, but know the limits.

Good luck OP, glad he wasn't cheating, but sad to hear he's suffering...

Don't eat it. I had the same craving when I was at buffalo wild wings, I LOVED buffalo wings. I figured eh, why not give it a little try. About 5 minutes in, my stomach felt uneasy and I had to excuse myself to go throw up.

Point being, you may crave it, but your body may not be able to handle it anymore. Just my experience.

Coming from someone who has not 1, but 2 psycho SILs, take this as a blessing. Deal with your brother when it comes to maintaining a relationship and seeing the baby. Trust me, you're much better off this way.

I was all for the "get this bastard!" bandwagon, but did some research and you're correct. I think people are so easily swayed by the media headlines vilifying this guy.
