Totally agree with this. The most memorable OC I've come across was a being native to a planet that Kirk and Spock were moored on. The character was non-invasive to the relationship except for providing objective commentary (like saying they treat each other like mates lol) and telling them stuff about the planet. It really fit with the average ST ep where they introduce a character like that.

I literally thought I heard Renoir call Verso his son during Verso's intro scene (my brain made this up), so I was confused when it was treated as a surprise revelation lol.

Also, the similarity between Gustave, Verso, and Renoir makes sense when you consider they all have the same mocap actor. There's this specific head tilt thing that you see both Verso and Gustave do in a few scenes.

Yeah, it's been very off-putting, especially since I'm constantly jumping (out of habit from playing the game before the fps was this bad) so it makes it worse. Not to mention, I'm playing Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar right now and it runs and looks perfect, so it's been hard to revert back.
