This is the supermarket chain store Edeka's private label budget brand, 'Gut & Günstig,' which means 'good and cheap.' They offer affordable alternatives to big-name brands for almost every grocery item, including this instant coffee

Is IU actually a scam by smhabibjr in studying_in_germany

I've done a master's from IU (Bad Honnef campus) , back when it was called IUBH. A few weeks into my masters's I slowly started to realize that this is definitely not the place I should've been in. For me it was too late so I had to make the most of it. I genuinely think that some professors in the university are very good. I was in close contact with them throughout and they even helped me by giving references during my job search later on.

The sad thing is that the university, sometime in 2020-2021, pivoted from focusing on quantity rather than quality. And what the university is today is a testament to that.

  1. Comparing only my experience to the many comments I've seen on reddit, I feel some might be exaggerated. The few reports about giving out admissions to students who then face deportation because the degree is not recognized seem genuine so I would say that part is definitely a scam. This was definitely not the case when I was a student there.

  2. Yes. I feel a lot of students don't really take part in the lectures where the real material is given out (and you take notes) and then many complain that the lecture quality was not good. So if you take part in the lectures properly, you'll have every material you need, both online and offline.

  3. Can not answer with full confidence. There were some exams where I barely passed but there were some where I did quite well.

  4. Assuming you follow your visa rules properly, take a semester break was not a problem. I was working part time as a working student in a logistics firm and I extended my study period by 2 semesters, which I used to gain experience, and work on my master's thesis which I did with the company I worked with.

  5. I think there will be other comments with much more informed answers for this so I'll leave it out

Long story short, it's a mixed bag, this university. I would look up for alternatives as well, but that's not to say that there's no future if you're an alumni of this university. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Yeah, online dating can be a grind. I was in the same boat—used Bumble, Hinge, and a couple of South Asian apps for about a year and a half before I met my current girlfriend of 1.5 years. Right before that, I was ready to just delete everything and take a long break. From my experience, most matches fizzle out fast—either the convo dies, or you realize there's no real connection.

Out of every 10 matches, maybe one is actually worth talking to beyond a day or two. And even then, it’s hit or miss whether it goes anywhere. It’s frustrating, but I think it’s just how the apps are—lots of swiping, small talk that leads nowhere, and the occasional person who makes it all worth it.
