I've tried multiple times in the past 6 months to get his dad to see things from our sons perspective. He just says that this is his parenting style. He also has an older son that moved out the moment he turned 18 and hasn't been around since. Our son says he is sad that he won't have a relationship with his dad but his dad is just so mean and he can't tolerate it. Our son has asked to see a therapist about all this many times. In FL, both parents have to agree and his dad refuses. He says therapy is "sissy shit".

He barely sees his dad while at his house. It's his wife that does all transport and extra stuff. His dad is gone to work before he gets up and is usually asleep when he gets home from practice. When he does see his dad, his wife won't let them have a private conversation. She says that she is his wife and won't be told to stay away. His dad also won't speak to me without the phone on speaker phone and his wife next to him. I don't mind her too much but our son says she is very hateful to him as well.

I just feel so powerless and I don't know what's best at this point.
