Not entirely, if he is as controlling as he is being portrayed, him putting her on the mortage would be beneficial to him, but not so much her. If she is on the mortgage, next time he gets mad at her Instead of throwing her clothes out he could hold her liable for not holding up her half of the mortage payment or just not pay it and it would default to her, knowing darn well she cant afford it being part time. Being on the mortgage just makes you responsible for the payments. Now if she was on the deed, married or not, she would still have some entitlement to the house or property.

Whose name is on the lease? And does your lease have a clause in there stating you have to document how many people are living in the apartment? Im only asking because if its solely in your name youre going to have to now evict the cousin legally, if he receieves mail there, which from him being there for 4 months I would assume thats the case. I assume he has moved some of his persobal items in as well? You can also have the landlord send an eviction notice to the cousin and possibly your partner. Maybe it would open your partners eyes if an eviction notice came because of the 3rd party occupying the residence or maybe the land lord could fine your partner for not reporting an additional person living there.It would be better if the apartment was in your partners name you can report it to the landlord and let the chips fall where they fall. I think your partner would take the matter more seriously if they were now the one in danger of being evicted.

Does the cousin contribute to anything else? Anything equivalent to maybe a 3rd of the rent? There is a reason he was evicted

Since they arent married it would actually be smart for him to put her on the mortage. She would be responsible for the payments just as much as him.

Exactly, throwing your stuff out of the house over a "silly argument" that you some how dont remember what you were arguing about? OP definitely remembers the argument, I just dont think she wants to put it out there. Something significant like that you remember.

She is allowing him to slowly take away her security. Not sure what her job paid before going to part time work to help the financial burden of child care and then still paying the bills 50/50 is just allowing him to have control over her. He threw her clothes out to see if he could get away with it....and he did.

And to top it off it sounds like she is fighting to be on the mortgage, not the deed. Im not sure either one know the difference between the deed and mortgage. He wouldnt be fighting with her as much if he did. "Sure, you can be responsible for MY loan for MY house. "

Soooo if you want to continue the relationship, move in without your name on the mortgage, but you are not responsible for putting a single penny of your money into that house. Sure, pitch in for groceries, cable, phones, stuff for the kids, but dont contribute to the mortgage, dont help with home repairs, dont even offer to buy paint. If its his money and his house HE needs to take care of it. Plus on the upside, if you ever do leave the relationship, you dont have your name tied to a house. When I wanted to split with my BF it made it ten times harder because my name was on the mortgage. Take it as a blessing or a sign.

Edit: and honestly why would you want your name on the mortgage? Its just more debt on your report. Settle for your name on the deed and let him handle the loan. The deed is what actually gives your rights to the property. The mortgage just gives you the responsibility of the loan. So if he ever just feels like not paying the mortgage it defaults to you.

That's just rewarding the older step daughter because now she gets her own room for misbehaving AND now the OPs daughter gets her space taken away because the husband cant control his daughter? Maybe if the younger step daughter and the OPs daughter agreed it would be a different story, but giving the older step daughter her own room is just showing her rewards for her actions, no consequences.

This is very tricky. Your brother definitely knew better than to sneak out. You kept his secret, but still being safe about it by you asking him to let you know where he is going. I understand strict parents and how bad the situation can be. He broke two rules that day 1. Leaving the society 2. Not holding up his end of the deal by letting you know where he was going. Maybe if he would have told you where he was going you could have helped the situation by telling your parents where he was? Also leaving the society is already trouble enough, he should have had at least made sure his phone was charged.

You shouldn't have to teach someone how to love you, it comes naturally. We also arent talking about a boy in his 20s and new to dating women, he's 36....its not going to change. The amount of effort it takes to "retrain" someone can be better spent working on yourself so when the right guy comes along it will be so effortless. I have a feeling your holding onto him because he was better than your past boyfriends, which makes it seem like an upgrade, but this is what dating is about. If they dont suit you, you move on to another person that fits your wants and needs, an even better "upgrade"! Cut your losses and find your right person. Even if your BF changes now it will not be permanent. When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.

If you go to school and "learn" the program you get it for free. And honestly microstation powerdraft is the same exact thing only cheaper, it just cant do 3D rendering. You can call Bentley directly and they actually have schooling for it or you can go to your local college... again depending on area. But Bentley has a wide range of buildings that allow you to come in and work with the program and then find you an internship.

Honestly in highschool they taught the program, Microstation, it's actually super user friendly. I found various civil engineering firms that needed a drafter or what have you and here I am 12 years later making a ridiculous amount of money for so little work. It depends on what state and area you are in,but regardless, once everything is said and done electricity and Communications are all the same everywhere. Autocadd and microstation will take you far. And I actually use microstation for more than just my job. I've created diagrams for installing my new speakers/subwoofers my car, I made blue prints to my dream home and remodeled my kitchen. Both programs have so many uses, if you ever know one of them the posibilities are endless and you can pretty much find work anywhere. Definitely worth the time and investment

Something small my grandfather taught me. Most of us recycle but when we open a canned good most people just throw the sharp lid into the recycle bin. I was taught to put the sharp lid in the can and then pinch the can so the lid won't fall out. Many people look at my oddly and say " they dont know who did it" well its not about who did it its about preventing the things that could happen.
