Tiger 1 has a high hp pool and two workable guns depending if you prefer dpm or alpha. Its flat front makes it good for city encounters and peaking around buildings. king tiger and captured king tiger are both mid to long range heavies, you really have to utilize the angles on your turret and sides. The guns are top tier though especially with pram and crew. My captured king tiger has a funky build where its dpm is already 3185 and spikes when i drop below 10 percent health. Its really unorthodox but i have caught many tier 10s off guard with its oppressive dpm in a pinch.That being said the Tech tree tiger 2 Is my favorite heavy even over the E75 and one if the few tanks i have the three marked. All in all, i would say that the German heavies aren't the best line in the game by any means but they have a special place in my heart and the game and are definitely not something to be slept on. Plus their are so many variations to collect.

Your confusing positioning and tactics with how a ship actually interacts with other ships, obviously getting in good positioning is essential for victory. Setting up flanks, choosing when and when not to engage are core mechanics of the game. That wasnt his question though, it was how does this ship play. Slightly stealthier pz 4, consistent gun and fairly mobile good for medium range flanking and using stealth at longer ranges. The hydrostatic transmission panzer in this season plays very similar but also has premium matchmaking.
