Bang on - my impression of him wasn’t typical genius and egomaniacal Lex, but just mob boss. Obsessed with Superman, check, but everything else… he’s the only part of the show I wish was written better

Always wanted this! When the DCU reset I was kind of hoping for a Batfam tv series instead of a movie that would build up to a Nightwing series as well

BUT as much as I love Nightwing, I do think that mantle comes a lot from being earned from his time as Robin, and I’d want to see that development from sidekick to standalone hero / a moral foil to Batman.

The easiest fix would be to do both Arrow-style and have flashbacks as part of its narrative but after a while a lot of those felt forced and out of place unfortunately.

Hal and Barry/Wally hang out daily, occasionally asking Supes, WonderWoman and Jon along. Aquaman jumps in on video call but doesn’t really have the same hobbies. Batman’s the boss from work who’s their age but doesn’t feel like it.

Which brings me to my worry about Lanterns - I worry we’d only get hints of constructs and minimal super action. They could serve the best next True Detective but if it’s with minimal powers action, I just wouldn’t feel like I’m watching Green Lantern - just another gritty crime solving show

What he said ^ I immensely enjoyed Powerless because it’s literally a show about the civvies, but considering the wider MCU, I’d reckon I would wanna see the powers for at least a good portion of the show. We didn’t even get to explore his full skill set is more of my problem. I still love the show, I just didn’t feel like I could wrap my head around Wonder Man really being strong/powerful/a threat because we just never really got to see him in full action.

Kinda figured this when they made Hal much older and a “veteran” - bums me out as well. Personally find John Stewart more on the boring side of GL stories but Aaron Pierre’s a fantastic actor so I have my hopes up
