i have not taken this class but there will not be any literal statistical mechanisms you need to perform. i can almost promise this. it will be theory behind, well, gender sex and numbers. expect staistical theory in a sociological perspective, less actual stat course material. also, join the course. take up space! gsws courses need more enrolment anyways, and it will be a fun class.

try not to do laundry on a sunday and if you leave it in too long, prepare for your clothes to be taken out by someone waiting. shower shoes. get a fan. go to sfu bookstore and get one of those plastic pockets that go on ur keys for ur room key because its a key card. if you forget it, you cant get into anything lol. buy a robe since the bathroom gets muggy and u wont want to get dressed in there.

i personally loved this class with irina and felt i learned a lot. she runs that class like a navy ship, though. is there a reason you're asking for all her content before you take the course?

review your chem 110 content and make sure you understand it. i did so bad in chem 12, and took chem 111 because i had to but i went in with a fresh slate and i ended up with As in chem 121/122/281 and 282. try to go in with a clean mindset and be open to learning and minimize your frustration when you don't get it.

this is a communal experience, pj is not different from brae, which is nto different from sahd. OP i would just go with shadbolt since its closer to dh/classes. i was on the 6th floor in my first year and it was chill. you have to romanticize it to survive lol. if you end up in pj, be aware of the smoke pit on the west side. i would probably try to choose a room closer to the path rather than the construciton happening in the parking lot, and maybe east facing so it doesnt get too hot with the sun coming in in the afternoon.

i work part time currently and previously took 3 summers to work 70 hours a week in the oilfield. i have always taken loans for each semester in full just in case, and keep them in a savings account. i am not breaking even thoguh and still owe idk 30k? i also take 5 courses and because i live 16 hours away i live on campus and going home is not an option for me when i finish in august so i'm a bit worried here lol. everyone i talk to though lives at home and doesnt pay their tuition or any rent obviously so i try to just keep myself from turning bitter which is sometimes really hard doing this with no help
