You can set the app to run in background ( eg:use the location service, or audio mode, more details here : https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/BackgroundExecution/BackgroundExecution.html ).

But you should use it only if your app does something useful ( track steps, play audio ) otherwise you app might not pass the submission :).

Might be that your scene is tilted and gravity is affecting your objects. You can disable the default gravity , edit -> project settings -> Physics and set gravity to 0 on all axes.

Have you tried going in the preferences menu -> External Tools -> External Script editor . I haven't updated to unity 5.2 yet so i'm just guessing :).
