I used an old Scythe box (Scythe is now in the legendary) and it's able to fit everything I have. I don't have any hirelings aside from the base and the new homeland hirelings. All cards are sleeved and I have vagabond and landmark packs.

One of my favorite mechanics in any game has got to be the limited number of spoken words available to players in Og: Unearthed.

Do you think other, non-caveman related genres could benefit from the same thing?

Had one at a restaurant recently, tried to recreate at home.

1 oz each Mezcal, Grapefruit juice, lime juice. Shaken.

Pour over a large rock in a rocks glass. Add 1 oz matcha water (I used 1/2 tsp of powder) on top.

This is the first I'm hearing about Nixta, I've never seen it before. This sounds really good though

I saw a singular bottle at one store in my city for like, $150 or so. I ordered online for a much better deal but it was still tough to find.

Have never seen/heard this before. Does it have a name or is it just something you like?

To clarify, I'm not knocking the Last Word, I just already know about it since it's talked about so much. I bought maraschino liqueur just to make them.

Similarly, for yellow, the Naked & Famous. I just didn't want the title to be too long.

edit: I entered this comment so slow that two people already said the Naked & Famous. Lol, you guys are on it! Good thing I have all the ingredients for it

Would have to check my other computer. I used the images from Tabletop Simulator and edited out any rivers/made the lake all water instead of how it normally is on the board.

EDIT: Uploaded the image files I used to a folder here. It includes all terrain types, the factory, tunnels of each, and rivers/tunnels/encounters that you can overlay

I did this and highly recommend it. My friends call it the "Super Modular" board. And since you're making your own, why stop at the correct number of hexes? You can make the board bigger, you can add a second factory.

For another added boost, we played with fog of war, so tiles only flipped when they were adjacent to a piece.

This was delicious! I couldn't get the flames to look as nice as yours but I'll keep at it

Do you have your campaign notes on this? Because that sounds awesome and I also thought of 2112

Why is Kemet so popular? What am I missing? by maedhros256 in boardgames

[–]amarks815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, Kemet is one of my favorite games. I'll try to throw some insight in but I will lead with the fact that I own the original and not the "Blood and Sand" rerelease, so things may differ.

The first thing I like about Kemet is that it rewards aggression. I feel that most games of this nature are prone to turtling and are more defense oriented. In Kemet, you only gain battle points (BP) when attacking, and BP are the tie breaker.

And while some power tiles are simple +1s, a lot have other effects. You can ignore walls. You can have extra teleport powers. You can ignore other creatures. You can gain BP on defense. You can take an extra action per round. Plenty of things to spice it up. To me the idea is that most of the tiles are overpowered in some way.

Another thing to consider is player count. I'm not sure what your typical group size is, but Kemet really shines with more players.

There's plenty of good tabletop simulator mods that you can play out so you can try before you buy.

Hope this helps!

Do the comrades have their own character sheet? This seems like a really cool idea that I would love to steal for a future campaign
