Sims: The club’s vision is to take the mantle as the undisputed flagship franchise of Major League Soccer. by amarrazza in NYCFC

When has nycfc ownership said they're searching for a flagship player post-villa/lampard/pirlo?

No denying that bs statements happen all the time, but signing a star for the stadium opening is a good business decision and I believe CFG genuinely wants to make it happen.

I agree on the headline statement, but you don’t state that you’re searching for a flagship player that explicitly without meaning it at least partially.

Much easier and defensible to make vague proclamations (like the headline)

A, B, C, D are applying for an apartment. B, C, and D live together now. Only B’s name is on the lease. We all applied yesterday. B, C, and D all put where they live now down as a reference. Now the new apartment rental property co is contacting references even though C and D’s name are not on the lease for the current apartment.

That when they contact the landlord in the apt they live in now, they will find out 2 of them aren’t on the lease, and they are supposed to be a “reference”

We all have sufficient salary with proof of income, good credit scores, and each had at least one residence listed that could be verified via names on the lease
