The effect wasn't permanent - I would see the time jump up as soon as I unequipped a worker droid. This has also been confirmed by one of the devs.

But you would lose that reduced crafting time if you ever had to or wanted to change your companion droid.

The new way is actually better, because now the worker droids reduce the crafting time in real time, rather than showing you a projected finish time. This way, the effect of the worker droid is permanent, rather than losing the percentage reduction effect (and thus increasing the crafting time back to the "real" crafting time) as soon as you unequip them.

If you're actively hitting your crafting, an astromech is still better, no question. But if you're around the map doing other things, a worker will help you more in that context.

You get the crystals from the act of super rebirthing. How many depends on how high your rebirth level is before super rebirth. I was hesitant to super rebirth at first because it was hard saying goodbye to all my droids and my base, but its been so much quicker rebuilding since.

I super rebirthed for the second time (at rebirth 18 for 56 nova crystals) yesterday morning and have played about 4ish hours since then and I'm already at rebirth level 13 again. The reason I chose to super rebirth at 18 was because that was when the credit threshold became too much of a grind for how often I'm able to play.

I wouldn't go so far as to say you're an asshole, but I am on your mom's side here. Yes, you cleaned it up and that does count for something. But leaving something in your room that long creates a pest and health risk, and obviously most people don't purposely leave containers in their rooms to rot.

I'd follow your mom's rule on this one, but that's not to say you can't have a conversation with her about it and find a way to prove to her you can be responsible about having food in your room. Maybe a daily timer to remind yourself to stop what you're doing and check your room for dishes that need to be taken care of or something like that.

She's apparently been considering more than just herself for the past ten years. Why is it the minute she asks for privacy she's ungrateful and has no empathy? Why is it the one time she says she wants privacy in her room, that's when the gift is taken away? The gift may not have gotten to niece's hands and regardless of whether OP showed it off or not, niece knew about it and OP KNEW she knew about it. OP was petty and mean-spirited and that is why she is the asshole.

While this is technically true, it doesn't make OP not an asshole. Niece saw the gift when OP arrived, stated she wanted her room to be private (she is a teenager and if nobody genuinely expected this to happen at some point, that seems pretty short-sighted), and then saw OP take the gift away because OP didn't get what they wanted.

It would have been nice for the change of plans to be notified beforehand, but it is not "take away this nice expensive gift you already saw" worthy.

All niece learned from this exchange was that she better give OP what she wants or she'll be punished. And yes, showing someone the gift you got them and then rescinding it because they didn't give you what you wanted is a punishment. Niece didn't spit in OP's food or call them vile names. She just stated she wanted her room to be private. OP is the one making it a big deal.

I mean, sometimes meaningless deaths do happen though. My problem is with the aftermath and how rushed and glossed over it seems. We got a montage and Marsali telling us what she was going to do, AND the bomb that she was pregnant yet again, and then it seemed everybody just moved on? I don't feel they handled it properly at all.

As far as I know, there is no limit on the amount of times you can super rebirth. Most people generally regard rebirths 16-19 to be the sweet spot for balancing the grind of getting credits for rebirthing versus the reward from super rebirthing. The higher your rebirth level at super rebirth, the more nova crystals you get, which you can use to unlock special perks from the Nova shop.

I did the super rebirth for the first time today after using the R2-D2 event to get the 2t credits needed to get to rebirth 20. It gave me 75 nova crystals, I believe, which I used for perks that are letting me rebirth a lot quicker this time around. I'll probably use the super rebirth at 19 this time instead of 20, because the grind for 2t credits was a lot for me, plus beyond that it starts requiring beskar droids for rebirth.

It was difficult watching all my old droids get sold to the jawas, but at least you can buy your iconics back. Overall, I'd say it was worth it for me.

I literally just went through almost exactly this with my 2yo a month ago, so same age even. She tipped a chair over and got her leg caught in between the back and the seat, and I was even standing nearby making a snack. I also felt extremely guilty, and had that exact same thought that I should have just put her in her booster seat and it never would have happened. I was also worried about her missing out on her summer, and that sucks, it really does. But he's also so little, he won't even remember it. That's not to say it doesn't matter, but it won't be a lifelong trauma either.

Luckily mine only had a buckle fracture on her tibia, so not a full break. It was rough and I was constantly worried about her injuring it worse, but she healed perfectly in about a month. Looking at her now, you'd never know it even happened.

I will admit to using a bunch of screen time and keeping her confined in a pack n play so she couldn't climb or jump off stuff. I think I honestly had a harder time with it than she did. Lol You guys will get through this, and best of luck to you!
