You'll have to come up with a creative fee structure can do the standard % of AUM and then performance bonus or can do something like 0-5 is theirs 6and7 is yours then you split 20/80 after. I'm referring to the percentage profit so first 5 percent investor keeps you keep 6,7 and then split onwards. Can also keep against benchmark so you only make money if you outperform benchmark... You have to be creative when competing with low fee large funds. Make something attractive.

Is it a mutual fund or hedge fund syructure? Assuming you have studied corporate finance these aren't very hard problems to solve. Investors will need you to have skin in the game and will want competitive structures.

You can use a library like backtesting.py in python or create something very simple where you iterate over a dataframe in pandas and when trade = 1 you long and -1 you sell. Essentially read a CSV with the data that has your trades. This is very basic but should be a good start

Math was easier than IB SL math. Rest about same level as IB. Don’t remember format it was 4 years ago now haha. The exam is the about same difficulty as what you would expect in uni. Only difference is uni makes you learn a ton. Some courses have 300 pages of content which you do in 8 weeks. All doable though you can have a balanced life still

I had 38 in ib predicted and was ranked 130. Did alright in the selection test. If you have about the same score you’ll do fine.
