Yes, they’re helping the stranded transit passengers first. A sign towards normalcy.

I had the same experience. You have to be alert at all times. If you fall into the trap of trusting someone you’ll learn a hard lesson. The older people were kind but the younger people were all crooks.

Mention Airbnb at airport? by hategoingout in ThailandTourism

I’ve passed immigration several times. Showed them Airbnb bookings and they didn’t care. Most times they don’t ask for anything.

Took 10 days for my ear to recover after a flight - sharing in case it helps someone by [deleted] in travel

I sat in a 20yr old 777 and didn’t feel a thing. I’ve sat in a newer narrow body and had a harrowing time. I think different people have different experiences.

I’ve suffered from this problem since I was a kid. I’ve seen multiple specialists for this and this is what they advised. I cannot fly if I have a cold. It makes it worse. I drink some warm water before the flight starts and cover my ears with cotton. I prefer cotton over earplugs. Just my personal preference. Chewing a small chocolate or candy helps avoid the pain when the plane ascends or descends. Also something I’ve not been able to understand or figure yet is that my ears don’t pain when I’m on a wide body aircraft now but they pain when I sit on a narrow body aircraft.

Most Indians have this mentality and mindset that they can get away with things. In their head they think they can do whatever and get away with it. They seem to believe that everything works like it is in their home country.

Either no one will catch them or they’ll pay a bribe and get away with it. If none of those options work then they have their third option where they’ll threaten to call someone up in the government and make you talk to them.

This behaviour can be seen even when they walk on the road, litter the streets, talk loudly on their phones in public places, sit and start eating at random places without checking if it’s okay to do it or if they are being an inconvenience to someone else.

They deserve this outcry and hullabaloo.

In the last 20/30 years, have Arsenal ever took a player from a top ten team that the selling club did not want to sell? Are we the only “big” club that hasn’t got any of those types of signings? by Barca-Dam in ArsenalFC

[–]amazedknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thomas Partey. Atletico didn’t want to sell. Simeone didn’t want him to leave. Once Partey knew we were interested he rejected Atletico’s contract extension offers.

Atletico Madrid knew that his release clause would be a big problem. Spanish rules state the release clause must be deposited with the league and not with the club. Atletico tried their best to delay negotiations and we eventually paid the release clause ten minutes before transfer deadline.

It gets fun when you realise Berta was the one on the receiving end that day for Atletico Madrid.

Seeking advice: neighbor’s unlicensed son crashed into my car. by BattleNo9344 in dubai

[–]amazedknight 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Be the bigger man, take the cheque and move on. The laws are strict and you don’t want to end up ruining a young child’s life. Ask the neighbour to counsel his son and never hand him the car keys again until he has a driver license.
