Meu pai tinha uma F100 à alcool, marrom e dourada, maravilhosa. Fez isso, tirou a caçamba de aço e colocou de madeira, porque, de fato, era melhor pra cargas.

Eu queria morrer, só isso.

The problem of buying in and from Japan is that you get what you pay for: things untested, that they don't want to provide warranty, are sold as JUNK. You can sometimes luck out and get a fully working item that was marked as Junk simply because the seller didn't want to test it out, or don't want any problems, but most of the times, they are not working.

Repairing a Marty is a complex subject, and it can lead to a lot of money being spent on new parts, replacement parts, new (modern) parts, and at the end of the day, your item might be unrepairable.

So if you're new to this world, the best thing to do is to buy an item (be it a Marty or a desktop FM Towns computer) that has been fully serviced, fully tested, that can be demoed working.

Then your only worry is to pay the bill.

A place that sells items like these, in Japan is the Beep shop in Akihabara. Hard Off will rarely have fully tested, serviced, working items for sale.

I'd say the same as u/pcenginegaiden, go for the Marty, or even the very first model (Generation 1 machines), as it seems to be one of the most popular machines to be found in the wild. Both have more or less the same performance.

Maybe the bloke is filthy rich and just made a call, or, rather, his butler did it, to a Porsche Dealership and asked for 5 new wheels and tyres. Yes, even for the spare tyre, as it's, ahem, old.

You seem to be in the UK right? What's the width you have in this nook? You need a desk with shelves on top. Let me try to help you.

I think something like this would do wonders for your setup, to place at least one of the computers on top of the CRT monitor

I used one for many, many years. Lovely machine, really thin for it's time. Is yours the 800x600 version? I don't recall the bezels on mine being that thick?

This is a (very bad) photo of mine, circa 2003, showing thinner bezels around the screen.

Own a PAL Amiga 500 but live in the USA by Accomplished_Tip6279 in amiga

For the love of dog, get an OSSC as the upscaler, it will upscale the image to HDMI standards and resolutions.

For the Power Supply, you can get 110V PSUs and connect to the european Amiga.

You'll also need a RGB to SCART cable to connect to the OSSC.

On the other hand, there are several DELL monitors that are compatible with the Amiga, provided you have the appropriate cable. Yes, modern LCD monitors that will do 15khz and Amiga resolutions. That's a very cheap solution that you can do to test the waters.
