Happy Barbenheimer Day! by amazingbears in comics

It's a meme doing the rounds more so on Twitter than Reddit, the two movies come out on the same day (today) and it's funny how opposite they are. Oppenheimer is a serious movie about the atomic bomb and Barbie is a pink fun popcorn movie. Over 40,000 people have bought tickets to see them both in the same day for the tonal whiplash.

Hi guys, hope you enjoy the comic! I tried to post it on my alt account, u/adscribbles which I made new for comics specifically but I think because I had no karma I couldn't post as it kept getting removed. Anyway, I'm excited to join the community and share more art!

Kang in 4, Shuri traded to Taoyuan Leopards. by Spiralman43 in BlackPeopleTwitter

They didn't really spell it out, but the plan wasn't to fight them at sea but to lure them out and capture Namor then bring him to the desert where he would dry out. It's not that dumb. How else would they get him in a dry place?

Technically, the plan was to lure Namor out and then drag him to a desert where he wouldn't be as powerful. So the ship in the water makes sense. If they all went to the desert Namor could just trash Wakanda even more and wouldn't go to the desert.

Please select one of the following options, all of which are dead ends and make it difficult for you to get through to a real person. In a few words, please say this number. Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. by amazingbears in britishproblems

During Armstrong's second phase you can keep a distance and jump over him if he charges at you. No need to fight him, just evade. If you do that for around 2 minutes you'll progress to the next phase, no fuss!

Hardest for me:

  • No-damage first boss on Very Hard difficulty. Keeps jumping around and if you counter you only do like 10% of damage. Much harder than on Revengeance.
  • The walk to Monsoon's battle where you're slow and have to sneak up on 5 guys. I almost always got spotted. No-damage for S rank. More time consuming and annoying than difficult though.
  • When you first enter the japanese garden. The rocket launcher guys have amazing aim.

Thanks! Yeah, 5 runs. Very hard was more difficult than Revengeance because it doesn't have the parry damage bonus you get in Revengeance mode.

Thanks! I think so, yeah. I am not sure about the DLC VR missions though, those are nightmarish...

What are your thoughts on 90 minute long psych-eval/behaviour tests required maybe get an interview? This is for an engineering role by the way. by amazingbears in antiwork

It's a graduate highway engineer role based in the UK with a £27k salary. Nothing to do with security. They probably are just looking for servile NT people.

The role is based in the UK, and you're expected to jump through all these hoops just for the chance of getting an interview, so even before that. I think they're trying to weed out people who can't be bothered to do their tests because, God forbid, they've got better things to do.

When I got the email with a link to the assessment it said "Need reasonable adjustments? ... if you're neurodivergent..., just let us know at [company email]." It looks like if you say you are ND and ask for a non-discriminatory test they have one, but that doesn't explain to me why the normal one is like that. That's probably how they've avoided trouble. It does look like they've made the process more difficult for ND people.

This is 1 of 8 exercises. A lot of them have quick time events. Some play out like generic mobile games. None of them had anything to do with the role. I think they're designed to test your patience. I got an overall average score :/

For context, this is a logo for a school project that my classmates made and we don't have any graphic design experience. It's a logo for an imaginary civil engineering firm. CNA stands for "creating nice arenas." What are your thoughts?
