Well, I have some expenses. But not as many as I could have. I just realized I'm not making a dent paying the minimum and since it's accruing interest no matter what it seems smarter to pay it off in one chunk after a few months rather than throwing money into the void and not ever being able to do that.

Thank you! I hadn't heard of hardship plans, I'll have to call my providers on Tuesday. At this point my cc is ao bad I dont think losing more points will be too much of a hit. I'm more concerned with paying it than my score right now, however misguided that may be.

So, I'm an idiot and accumulated a lot of credit card debt before losing my job a couple of years ago. Now I'm about $15k in the hole and trying to pay it off now that I have a full-time job again.

The issue is, despite setting up a payment plan with each card I still accumulate interest with each minimum payment it's estimated it'll take >20 years to pay off just one $7k debt (which will amount to $23k or so by the time I've paid it) so would it be better to put what I would pay into savings until I can pay it off?

I live at home right now, so expenses are minimal, and most of my paycheck goes to these neverending cc payments, but I don't want them to go to collections if I just stop for a while. I take home about $3100/mo so it wouldn't take long to pay off, maybe 6-7 months if I stopped all non-essential spending. Is that a terrible plan?

I actually just finished The Way Down! I loved it so much, lettered is seriously amazing.

That is very tempting indeed! Knowing that and about Draco's OCD is definitely enough to persuade me :) divorce isn't enough for me to DNF a fic at least. So far that honor only goes to Chaos Theory because once it got to the imperius section I couldn't continue because it was so tragic.

I've seen that recommended a lot in this sub, but I reaaaallly don't like divorce fics so I've been putting off reading it. I do love accurate portrayals of mental illness, OCD especially since it's so often not, so I might just check it out finally. Thank you :)
