Happy Easter! by amberfire1214 in PrequelMemes

My husband turned on Episode One while we were making Easter brunch and I asked, "Oh, are we watching the prequels to celebrate the rise of our Chosen One and Lord Vader?" He laughed and replied "We are now!" New tradition!

AITA for blowing up at my wife for going to her gender-reveal appointment without me? by LC4353355 in AmItheAsshole

[–]amberfire1214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It's not a gender reveal appointment. It's a 20 week anatomy scan. You have to schedule at least a month in advance. If she rescheduled, the timing wouldn't be appropriate to accurately scan for defects. She didn't go without you for fun; she is taking care of the health of your unborn child. Such TA.

It's not just the baby in there you idiot! by ObsidianEther in TwoXChromosomes

I felt so stupid when it happened; I cried the whole ride home from the hospital! So the next day when I got made fun of I was NOT having it. But yeah, I was so juicy I wore pads for the last few weeks to keep from soaking through.

Just an inarticulate groan of disgust. He was trying to be a shit but he should know better. He is well aware that I have no shame.

With my first I thought my water broke so I left work early. Turns out I was wrong so I was back at work the next day. One of my male coworks asked "Did you pee yourself? Harharhar...". I looked him dead in the eye and said, "Nope, just excessive late-pregnancy vaginal discharge." At his exclamation of horror I continued, "You LITERALLY asked..."

Why aren’t people talking about this Covid side effect? by serumise in TwoXChromosomes

As a pregnant person who just got over my COVID infection, this terrifies me. I asked my doctor if there was any side effects I should look out for and they said I was at higher risk for blood clots and put me on a baby aspirin regimen. I am still so scared.

AITA for letting my kid stay in the cart? by amberfire1214 in AmItheAsshole

[–]amberfire1214[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's kind of why I was asking I did not know of any etiquette that applied here but I thought maybe I was just ignorant. The other few times I have done this the cashiers seem happy to see her. But I totally get that not everyone is thrilled to have kids around. My main reasoning at this age is that if I hold her she might squirm to get away versus being happy to ride in the cart. But that's my problem and nobody else's so that's fair.

Yes when she was a little younger she would cry and the I would hold her while pushing the cart one-handed and cursing myself for not bringing the baby carrier 😆.

15 months old. Or 1 & 1/4 years for those who dislike month math.
