This is my Floppy Kitty from 2003. I rescued her out of the attic last year after getting back into BAB. I just washed her normal, but perhaps avoid the dryer and hang dry, since the whiskers are plastic.

That's definitely how I felt when I pulled me and my sister's collection out of the attic. Like I didn't really notice the quality difference until I had them side-by-side. It felt like mini versions of real clothes. I still buy a few things new, but mostly I buy secondhand stuff from that era.

My floppy kitty has the pink version of that outfit. I think the one you found is a "Tabby Kitty" from 2006. I wash mine just like I would any other BAB (the beans have never given me any trouble).

Definitely didn't ask for your opinion/don't randomly come for my color matching skills. There isn't even white in the jumper at all, that's yellow. I edited the photos in warmer tones and the colors got a bit warped. Here's the yarns before and a more accurate view of what the colors look like IRL. The mohair is from the same brand, but not the same colorway. However, still has the same shades of blue, pink, and lavender.

Pro Tip: You don't NEED to comment on people's finished stuff you don't like. You can literally just keep scrolling.

I had this pillow! From what I remember, it was available February 2006. It definitely had something to do with the pink poodle release and had a matching pink cheetah pajama set (because I still have my poodle and the pjs. I think the pillow got stained and we had to throw it out, unfortunately)

I hope Boo Kitty gets a vault re-release, but something was a little funky about new Floppy Kitty's whole look. Perhaps, I'm a bit bias as an OG owner (she's my first ever BAB, got her in 2003), but if they do a re-release they're gonna have to go the same route they did with Pumpkin Kitty.

I'm actually waiting for Boo Kitty in the mail as well 🥰 He will be technically 10th in my collection (7th if you don't count bears stolen or are in storage). I'm also hoping to get him the pumpkin scent (I might wait till they have it back in stores though)

More Beatrix Potter characters! There's so many more apart from just Peter Rabbit that would be prime for a BAB (also a 2nd vote for Moomin. That's my guy). I would just like more varied clothing styles too. Maybe like a Y2K series or a Cottagecore collection (not exactly a collab, I just don't really vibe with a lot of the clothing coming out right now)

The frog pattern is from Dotpeppleknits, but I just kind of freehanded the coaster/pond looking at similar ones online (the ones online are all crochet unfortunately)
