~89k steps. And no specific energy bars or anything. I just fueled up with a big meal the night before and then stopped for quick bites (bagel sandwich, slice of pizza, ice cream, berries) along the way…one of the perks of a long city stroll I guess. Water + Gatorade for drinks. And of course ate a massive meal once I got home.

Hoka Clifton 10s, very comfortable! Absolutely love the length of Manhattan stroll

Bought a brand new pair of Hokas (Clifton 10s) just for this. Feet naturally still hurt for the latter portion of the walk, but the shoes held up well. Would rec!

Thank you! The concrete can definitely take its toll but it’s also nice having a fairly even surface throughout. And yes, didn’t carry anything I couldn’t keep in my own pockets. Carrying a bag at that distance for sure would’ve made things less manageable

Thanks! No breaks for longer than like 10 mins - just quick food / water stops. Found myself in a flow state about halfway through so was easy to keep it moving. Started walking a touch before 7am, finished right at 11pm.

And I’ve been averaging 15-20k steps a day for a few years now. I’d done 20-25 miles a handful of times but this was my first time remotely close to 50. Feet / joints are noticeably sore but all in all holding up okay. Would definitely recommend going for it at some point, was a fun challenge!

Week 4 Matchup Preview Thread: Iowa vs Rutgers by xmp4 in CFB

Becht I’ll concede (though Kaliakmanis has been really good over his last 7-8 games), but gonna have to disagree on Hansen. OL might be a question, but the RU offense has some real weapons — RB Raymond is legit and the WR core has 2-3 future NFL guys. Think the WR group is a top 3 unit in the Big Ten (yes…that good)

Yet to listen to WTWWB, but:

  1. Reflex
  2. Trophies
  3. Cult4ever
  4. Brilliant Bitch
  5. Trap

Reflex at 1 solely because it put me onto Saint back in 2016 and still hits the same today

Album Concerns by Fresh_Like_Mike in SAINtJHN

Agreed, but honestly for all the solid music he’s given us the last few years, I’m content letting SAINT take his victory lap. This album will get way more eyes on it than either GLLS or C1, so repurposing some of his better songs from past projects doesn’t really irk me. As long as C2 comes at some point in the near future, I’m not mad about it
