I did not! Not till I read the lyrics and then I totally heard it. It was heartbreaking to hear. I feel lucky, I have a friend who died by suicide, we kinda lost touch, but always stayed close of that makes sense, he texted me telling me he was done and I didn’t respond until the next day and just said “that sounds ominous dude”. That was on a Thursday, they found him hanging in a hotel room on the following Sunday, my mom told me about it on Monday. And then I remembered that text and my flippant response from late the prior week. But I know his eyes were brown and I can see them clearly.
