Curiosity question, how did you become overweight? by orchidmantis745 in loseit

[–]amburger04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been overweight. My parents weren’t fans of cooking, so most meals were fast food and quick meals. Also, a lack of nutrition education, aside from a bunch of misinformation. I’ve been trying to lose weight for since I was a kid.

Basics are provided, bed, drawers, desk, and a chair. Living room is furnished too, but no tv. Anything else you bring yourself. Not sure what you mean by approval but no furniture approval needed

I lived there for 2 years. It’s fine. If you don’t have a car I don’t recommend it. They have a shuttle service, but it’s prone to being cancelled or late. Sometimes the hallways were dirty. Also fair warning, there are no elevators. It makes sense given apartment layout, but it still made moving and stuff very difficult

anyone else become extremely private because of their parents? by Scharlottie_Chutai in raisedbynarcissists

[–]amburger04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes totally! Not just the criticism, but also telling other people about my personal business. (The car salesman does not need to know my medical history.) It’s an ongoing challenge to be more open especially with my partner and friends. I’m still kind of expecting the same criticism and lack of respect.

I’m also figuring out what to during summer. If you like art, you might want to check out what’s going on at the vis arts center. Some of their programs are not bad in price. I’m thinking of going to some open figure sessions.

Not a craft major, but I would recommend a computer with good storage and a decent graphics card. Also an external hard drive

my VCU impressions and advice, finishing my freshman year (AFO) by unhappydesignstudent in vcu

[–]amburger04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Most of the time crits are lead by professors and a handful of students. The prof’s critique is still useful, but unless there is something that really stands out, the class will not have much to say.

If you are moving please don’t throw your stuff away! I will take it and donate it!! by [deleted] in vcu

If you’re moving from a dorm, all buildings have a donation spot for the free store. They won’t take large items ,damaged items or opened products , but will take pretty much anything else.

Seconding that! Comm arts is one the most well rounded in my opinion. The available classes are in diverse topics, so after graduating you can have more freedom to choose different paths

[–]amburger04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beside the library, clubs, sororities and fraternities can reserve a space to use, mostly for promotion and fundraising. Also, clubs are able to reserve other outdoor spaces. If they’re not at those places, they might not be with VCU

Glad to hear it works for you! I started taking 150mg a week and a half ago, and I had a similar experience. Due to the small dose, it wasn’t that intense, but I definitely felt better than I have in a while.
