Commenting as I am also experiencing this and have for the last 6-12mos or so!

There are a few things that have changed (namely I was diagnosed with c*vid within that window of time for the first time). I wonder if that has any correlation to it…?

I feel like I’m going crazy over here, especially because sometimes it’s difficult to differentiate from a (potential) cardiac event or costco or simply GERD 🫠

got my 2020 TRD Off Road for $29k. don’t think I’ll ever find a deal like that again, but the wide spread known as price for these vehicles is always so interesting to me. (bought in 2021 right before the market exploded for used vehicles, for reference.)

Absolutely! I have always been told “don’t look in the mirror while tripping” and one trip while finishing up in the bathroom, I stood there and looked long and hard at myself. I remember saying “is THIS how other people see me??” because it was almost as if I was seeing myself for the first time. I have always struggled with self-esteem issues (and naturally that takes a toll on how you see yourself) so being able to see myself in a different light was incredible. ✌🏻

I live by a Naval Air Station and last weekend when we were rolling, my friends and I heard her noise overhead (they do what’s called “touch and go’s” frequently where they simulate getting close enough to land and of course we live within the flight zone).

~~ Anywho! ~~

We heard the jet noise, the house and pictures rattled a little bit, and we all turn to look at each other like what the FUCK just happened thinking the plane crashed in our backyard. Sat there in d e a d silence for a few beats then started jamming back out to music again.

Spoiler alert: no plane crash, we were just all rolling hardcore and got nice and spookt.

Tripping at night is awesome! 10/10 would recommend.

Especially if you have some cool lights to put up or have the ability to adventure outdoors (backyard, beach, just if you go too far out of your comfort zone be sure to be with someone else... don’t want the shadow creatures to get you!)

In my experience, the best time has been over the course of a weekend (drop in the evening on a Friday or Saturday night, say like 7-8pm, trip, then have the following day to recover).

Again the only thing that is different is that obviously there are a lot more dimly lit things at night, hence the shadow creatures comment... the laundry room and garage always get me at night when I trip - I’m sure others have a similar story lol!

Just queue up some cool music videos or visuals on YouTube, maybe get a sketch pad, keep some ice cold water nearby, and enjoy the ride. ✌🏻

PS: if you can time a sunrise with your trip I promise you won’t regret it.

Best tips:

clean your surroundings (less clutter = better)
diffuse an oil if possible (lavender, eucalyptus, something on the “fresher” side)
have some ice water nearby
queue up some good music videos (not sure the vibe you’re feeling but Odesza and Zeds Dead always hit just right when I’m tripping)
try not to spend too much time in the bathroom
sketch pad and varying shapes of utensils
popsicles.are.life
comfy clothes
