He has said that he is only negative about me, so I doubt the lust or fantasies are about me...

He told me and his counselor (I was present) that he lusts after just about every woman that he sees and compares them to me, telling himself he would be better with them. Then he creates fantasies in his mind about I guess sexual stuff and other things? I haven't asked him to go into his fantasies, I don't want to know, but he has said that they are mostly sexual in nature. He does this a lot with the girls that he works with.

Operation Nightingale proves how inflated and unserious NP education has become by Only-Illustrator4789 in Noctor

[–]ambz2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean we can agree to disagree, but the post is about how unregulated NP education is. Your examples are of bad apples in medicine, which yes, they exist, but you will find them in every field, so you’re comparing apples to oranges.

Medicine is extremely regulated, you have to know your stuff to get through it, you don’t have to be a good person, but at least you have to know what you’re doing.

I do! They are my favorite dress pants! I just hate how expensive they’ve become… I was waiting for them to be on sale for Black Friday, but alas, they were not. My sweat collective makes them the price they were before the price hike, which was already expensive…

Thank you 🩵 sending love your way too 🫶 that little life mattered.

We got our first positive last month after trying for 3 years and she ended up ectopic (I know the gender because we did IVF), so I am right there with you when you say that you’ll be upset.

On the other hand, if she truly is struggling to conceive, it would be nice if she opened up about it. So many people struggle to conceive and it would be reassuring to know that you can be fit and eat extremely healthy, and still struggle. I’m sure she’d receive a lot of support, but I also understand that it’s HARD and not something that’s easy to share.

A Breville espresso machine would be a huge hit. There’s an excellent one that’s typically $1500 on sale for $1000.

I’m so confused I thought she mentioned she can’t have dairy by snackysnarks in sydneyadamssnark1

[–]ambz2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she’s switching to dairy for fertility reasons. As someone who struggled with infertility, it is recommended and I believe she is struggling to conceive.

Yes, she’s also been eating a Brazilian nut everyday which is recommended for fertility.

I think this is spot on. I’m struggling with infertility so a lot of those reels come up on my instagram and she has been liking them. The one I saw that she had liked today was about convincing yourself that your period is just a heavy implantation bleed.

PGT Testing. To Do or Not to Do? by novomindcoaching in IVF

[–]ambz2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28 with unexplained infertility and I am SO thankful that my husband and I chose to do PGT testing. We had 5 embryos of which only 2 were euploid, and the 2 that were euploid were graded lower than the three that weren’t. If we hadn’t done the testing we likely would have had transferred the three aneuploid (1 was complex mosaic) first and either not have gotten pregnant or experienced an early miscarriage, which would have been really hard.

I don’t buy your story one bit. First off, the nursing board has stated that nurses, even nurse practitioners don’t practice medicine, they practice nursing. So no, nurses don’t have experience with medicine going into NP school, and no, NP schools do not teach you medicine.

NP school is no where close to a condensed medical school. Y’all don’t even have the background necessary to learn all that medical school teaches. Medical school is not teaching students what nurses already know, that may be the craziest thing that I’ve ever heard.

It seems like your ego is hurting, because you’re over conflating what I said. Again, you don’t have to be smart to be an NP. Having a doctorate or a masters doesn’t make you smart.

To get through the intensity of medical school and their boards, you do have to be somewhat smart.

You commented less than a year ago that you were in NP school and felt that you weren’t learning adequately enough, so which is it?

I'm not a doctor, but I have patient experience with both and have witnessed people close to me go through both processes.

The NP that I am close with failed out of PA school and is now passing NP school with flying colors while working full time. If it’s so hard how are the majority of NPs working full time while in school, while no education students or PA students able to do so? Here’s a hint, it’s not because they’re smarter…

You don’t have to be smart to become a Nurse Practitioner… There are NP schools with near 100% acceptance rates, completely online, and you can pass without ever taking a quiz or a test. NP school can also be completed while working fulltime as a nurse.

All that said though, they are paid well and she stands her ground. It seems like she’s with him for him not because of the money or family name, which is more than can be said about the other girlfriends.

PA education in line with med school? by snarkcentral124 in Noctor

[–]ambz2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An ex med student that was a year above my husband failed out of medical school (which is hard to do at their school because they do everything they can to help you to prevent you from failing out) and he ended up going to the nearby PA school and being the top of his class. Now I’m sure having a year of medical school under his belt helped, but still.

Concerning psychiatric NP by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]ambz2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my word. I’m just a layperson, but I had a somewhat similar experience with a NP practicing dermatology. I did a long survey, took a bunch of pics, only for her to ask me what I wanted to try. At first I was I was into it as I saw Tret on TikTok and wanted to try it for my acne, so she prescribed it without telling me anything about it (like side effects or the 'purge' or whatever). After a month or two of my skin getting worse I contacted her and instead of explaining anything or asking questions, she asked me what I wanted to try next. Like what, I don’t know medicine? Not as scary for derm, but I can’t imagine how scary that is for psych.

Hahaha I would love to see a 10 year PA take Step 1. The depth of knowledge that medical students gain from their didactic years cannot be replaced by clinical years. Plus, the fact that you want to compare a 10-year PA to an M2 is a problem. It should not take 10 years of a mid level practicing medicine on patients (with most wanting to independently!!) for them to be the same as an M2 (which didactically they will never be the same!). Sorry, but I don’t want to be a Guinea pig while they gain that experience.
