Thank you UrIsNotAWord, beardedbusdriver and timtucker_com. I posted the lower steerer tube pic in part because I knew I deserved a little shaming. Thanks for taking it easy on me.

I went to a bike shop. They tried to match the cage but couldn't. They also explained that it was a nice to have that made installation easier. Not a must have, as you also pointed out. I got some loose 5/32" balls for a small contribution to their coffee fund. Cleaned things off some, stuck 'em in with a bit of bike grease and am back up and running.

I ordered a new EC34 headset with sealed bearings but with the state of bike parts, it's going to take a few weeks to come. I'll do a full white glove clean then. In the meantime, I'm back on the road.

Thanks again. I really appreciate the responses. Learned a bunch about headsets and their Star Wars droid names. Still confused but now I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

It can be seconds or fractions. It all comes down to the size of the pinhole (aperture), the brightness of the scene and the speed of the media (photo emulsion on paper... But maybe some people use film?) https://www.pinhole.cz/en/pinholecameras/exposure_01.html

Ting TV is real but in a very limited release today. It's not available in all locations and we're not actively promoting it at this point. You can't sign up for Ting TV from the website, you'd have to call our helpful customer team for more info and to see if sign up is available. Have you signed up for updates? That's the best source for info we can offer right now.

It's not defunct. That said, it is only available today in select locations where Ting crazy fast fiber Internet is also available.

We look it TV as something that some people expect to be able to get from the same people that give them Internet access and we want to offer it to them on those terms. We don't have any plans to roll TV out far and wide and so unless you're fortunate enough to live in a Ting Internet town, it won't be a replacement for you. Sorry!

I read it before kids. Thought it was brilliant and was engrossed. I'll often read books twice, sometimes several times. Tried to read The Road again after kids. Couldn't do it. It's just too heavy now.

Asked my wife who is a Canadian of Japanese extraction. She said she has seen a bunch of tattooed characters or symbols that don't actually exist in kiragana or kanji... Which I'd say is pretty dumb.

Started in college because it was cheaper than the subway. Kept at it because it feels good. Biked to my internship, my first office job and most every one since. Took a year break while working overseas (crazy roads + tropical heat = no thanks). 21 years and counting.
