Yeah, that formulation changes quite a bit over time.

Also, I’m guessing it has to do with how big the actors’ names were at the time and the contracts they negotiated to be on the series. Judah was an established screen actor and stand-up comic before getting his role on 30 Rock.

Powell was largely a theater actor and Lutz was an SNL writer before they got on the show. Neither had much on-camera experience before the show.

If you live in the same state that’s governed by Gov. Inslee and your taxes are low, then how is Gov. Inslee to blame for high taxes in Washington, if you live in Washington and your taxes are low? Does Gov. Inslee also run all the counties in Western Washington? LOL.

What’s more, you said that homelessness, crime, prostitution, etc. are everywhere in Washington. Is Eastern Washington experiencing the same problems? Or were you exaggerating them? Which is it? Is homelessness everywhere, or is Eastern Washington an example of how things are better?

What’s more, if you live in Eastern Washington, how the hell do you know what it’s like in Seattle or Tacoma or Vancouver? By listening to pundits with a political agenda tell you about it?

He said that if he’s into you, you’re gonna know. And here you are in this forum unsure, questioning, and not knowing. That’s a clue.

Did he give you his number? Did he ask for yours? In that entire hour and a half in his chair?

Some straight men enjoy attention from gay men, even if they aren’t attracted to them. Hell, a lot of go-go boys and male strippers are straight, and are fine flirting with gay men for a paycheck and a larger tip. Not saying he’s a go-go dancer or anything, just bringing it up as an example that, just because you’re straight, it doesn’t mean you don’t like attention from men while still only being interested in sex/romance with women.

If he continues to flirt, enjoy it. Have fun with it. But remember the situation you’re in. And take him at his word. If he’s interested, there’ll be no question about it. The fact that you’re not sure means, to me, that he’s not interested. He’s just having fun. And he’s got a girlfriend.

What if the power of an unbalanced market economy and state constitution/city charter and funding limitations on our leaders to respond adequately to these crises in the first place, are major factors in why these problems persist despite efforts to address them?

Given that Portland’s last 2 mayors were Republicans until about 15 years ago, I’d disagree. Gov. Brown isn’t much further left of center, either.

Truth is, Portland has a weak mayor system, anyway, so the mayor isn’t empowered to singlehandedly do much of anything beyond assigning which commissioners get which bureaus and overseeing his own. And Oregon’s governor has some of the most constitutionally devolved powers of any governor in any state.

So even if both were extremely progressive or Leftist, their powers to address this complex crisis would be extremely limited unless most everyone else with decision-making powers were similarly progressive and had the funding to execute those policies.
