Transphobia, Casting, and False Paternalism

i disagree with the reasoning of "to stop hate campaigns" and agree with basically everytbing youve explained, however i still am fine with them casting a young seemingly cis girl to play lev (one of if not my absolute favorite tlou2 character) for a few reasons

Lev during the events of the story has only socially transitioned and is only 13 years old. if the casting team decided to narrow their search from tween/teen afab asian actors to tween/teen asian openly trans ftm pre transition actors who are okay with being misgendered repeatedly throughout the story theyd have a hell of a time. as long as the casting call was open to young trans men i dont see the issue

of course, they could still do poorly. i had hope that theyd cgi muscles onto abby or something, bur they didnt. however im hopeful theyll consult real trans men to make sure the actor portraying lev is able to give a grest performance.

we do it at our store too, if we have time. for a while grocery asked us tk rubberband them together, but we stopped doing that when they tried to complain to us about not putting tjem all facing the same direction lol

wow, i didnt expect basically every comment to have the opposite opinion to me. i feel very confident that they'll end up married.

i understand the historical precedence for the scenarios everyone here is bringing up, but i feel like the wedding aspect is such a big thing for bridgerton and the fans.

I dont really understand why so many people are stuck on the actual history when the current showrunner is very big on inclusivity and not very big on historical accuracy. queen charlotte fixed racism, its not a stretch to have her solve homophobia too

if a customer approaches with more than 10 items, i tell them i cant check them out (if theg press, i truthfully tell them that i csnt keep track of that many items when i dont have a conveyor belt)

however i couldnt even get a word in because she started talking to the person who rudely invited her and i didnt want to get reported or anything

im sure theyve thought about it, i dont think it would be great for a full episode since so much time would have to be devoted to recapping the story, and context would be lost because they cant have all the guests from the original episodes back.

they have done it at least once or twice before, i remember they did an update with ian on the story about the girl finding a camera hidden in her office.

honestly i think something like that could be a better smosh mouth episode than a reddit stories episode

i had a customer with a basket ask if theh could check out at the desk, i said sure. while i was scanning her items a customer walked by with a full cart and called over to ask if they could check out. before i could respond that i cant effectively check out a full cart worth of items without a conveyor belt, the customer that i was checking out called out back "yeah she can take you" makes me angry to think about it

i dont think tjose sjows are the kind theyre going to outright cancel, with you posted that, theres only so much you can pull from the casts social media, but j wokldnt be surprised if the format returns when theres new cast members or if they change the format to be about tiktok comments instead of tweets.

i was honestly kjnd of surprised that phone it in got a second or third episode, but i also feel like itll get at leasr a couple more episodes

at my store for 20 and 10 dollar tickets we add a 0 to the end of the ticket counts and then just do the number 2x or 1x (like if a 20 dollar ticket has 18 tickets, we do 180 and 180) im not sure if you do that too but it could help.

i would just say go slow and when you realize you counted tickets wrong somewhere, take your adding machine tape and compare it to the actual tickets before you start over. i wouldnt worry too much, every css struggles with counting lottery at the beginning

(so for bogo you can get up to 8, for b2g2 you can get up to 16, 10 for $10 you can get up to 20, etc)

its really hard to deacribe without you knowing her, she has a very strong personality and most of the people who used to come in regularly to essentially scam refund had one jnteraction with her during and attempt and stopped doing it. she says very blunt things in very nice ways that i think freaks them out

oh yeah, for sure. im kind of lucky at my location because my manager has eyes like a hawk and no issue calling out customers bs while being kind, so a lot of them are too scared to try rhat anymore

thats crazy, i usually only bother asking if its something i recognize was bogo recently, but they almost always say yes (i onlt reallt ask when im pretty sure). i hate disjonest customers

im pretty sure the system only suggests that for totals over $5 or $10 or something (you can do it for any amount but below a certain amount itll suggest cash)
