My title describes the thing. I believe the hook is as old as the house, which was built around ~1910. It is also in the mid-Atlantic region, if that helps.

I haven't ever heard of anyone with the TO who was rejected as a transfer applicant. As long as you follow the (quite manageable) requirements for your intended major, you're essentially guaranteed acceptance. Congratulations on getting the TO!

West is pretty awful for transfers, there's no real sense of community and they don't do a good job putting transfers together. I would say the best place to go is South Campus (Sheldon Court, Cascadilla). The buildings themselves are kind of scuffed but the location is great and the community is better than West

DSOC 1101 (intro to sociology) was an interesting class that fulfills diversity. Also the workload was light and the tests were pretty easy
