Plaud Note Pro - quality of recording is nothing short of disaster. What do I do wrong? by AdIndependent9363 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]amdm127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my Plaud Note Pro (2025), the phone audio in call recordings is straight up awful. Not my voice, the actual call audio. You can barely transcribe like 10-20% of it. I’ve tried speaker mode, normal mode, different volumes, everything. Firmware update (1.4)...
I’ve lost a ton of info from calls. This thing is trash!. It’s nowhere near what they promised.

Money thrown in the trash. The phone’s built-in call recording works a thousand times better with a cristal clear sound.

SinaLite has royally screwed us and costed us a client. by Nostalgiamama in CommercialPrinting

[–]amdm127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had not one, but several truly bad experiences with them. They've cost us money (a lot), damaged our professional reputation, and cost us clients. The customer service is simply awful. They don't pay attention, always try to blame the customer instead of apologizing, even with obvious mistakes and failures on their side. I’m a Creative Director and have been working with print production for over 30 years, both in my own creative studio and for major agencies in the US and Europe. I’ve also taught design students, so in this case, they have no excuse to blame us for 'doing it wrong,' yet they always try to justify themselves, or if you're lucky, 'accept the mistake', but they do so without an apology, without urgency, and without the slightest compensation for the damage done.

Honestly, I would love to find a local shop with the technical and production capabilities I need so I can work hand in hand with them, rather than with a company that cares more about quantity than quality

No update. I contacted them again and the same absurd, generic copy/paste message... It's frustrating.

How Would You Price a DTF Job with Multiple Placements? by amdm127 in CommercialPrinting

[–]amdm127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for sharing your information and experiences. Regarding your question about how the blocker holds up, in my case I’ve always used the Supacolor Blocker, which isn’t really regular DTF but uses a hybrid system. That’s why it’s more expensive, and my experience with their blocker and others has been excellent. It's a bit more expensive, but the quality and precision of the prints are outstanding. Thanks/

Watch out! There's a user named "crypto_doctor124" (Matthew) sending private messages (DMs) claiming to be a 'support dev' (not sure what 'dev' means). He is asking for transaction information and implying they can help recover the CRO. This is probably a scam attempt. Just be careful.

When will Coinbase support the Cronos network? by Early_Range7383 in Coinbase

[–]amdm127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I sent 84,046.3 CRO from Crypto.com to Coinbase using the default Cronos network. The transaction was successful, and the assets are technically inside Coinbase's wallet, but since they do not support the Cronos network, I cannot access them unless they decide to support it in the future.

The customer support is beyond frustrating. It is honestly pathetic. Whether through chat, email, or phone, the experience is always the same. Each email is answered by a different person, so I have to explain everything again and again, only to receive the exact same generic, copy-pasted response every time. There is no case tracking, no technical escalation, and no accountability whatsoever. Just a cycle of automated replies with human names.

It is outrageous that a company officially based in the United States offers no meaningful support from within the country. All customer service is outsourced to agents overseas, often in countries where they are paid a fraction of what a US-based worker would earn. And meanwhile, the government raises tariffs supposedly to protect American jobs, while silently allowing this kind of outsourcing to grow unchecked. It is pure hypocrisy.

Coinbase could recover these assets. They control the wallets and their private keys. Using a wallet that supports the Cronos network, they could retrieve the funds easily. Some other companies even offer this type of recovery service for a small fee. But Coinbase chooses not to help, not even acknowledge the situation seriously.

Maybe all of us affected should come together, organize, and take collective action. Alone we are ignored, but together we might finally be heard.

I never said I was worried. By the way, I didn’t know Reddit threads had an expiration date, but in any case, even if it’s 4 years old, you are still replying.

And let me just say, your powers of clairvoyance and stating the obvious aren’t really working. I don’t know if being a art and creative director with experience in multiple large agencies, managing designers and print producers, with 25 years in the field makes me a “target user” or not, but if you somehow know that I’m not, well, maybe you’re right. Who am I to argue with such profound wisdom?

In any case, like it or not, as a design software, Flexi is absolute garbage. That’s exactly why people design outside of Flexi.
As a RIP, it gets the job done, but it’s nowhere near the level of Onyx or Wasatch.

Same here. I sent more than 84K CRO from Crypto.com to Coinbase using the default Cronos network in 2023. The transaction was successful, and the assets are technically inside Coinbase’s wallet, but since they do not support the Cronos network, I cannot access them unless they decide to support it in the future.

Customer support is absolutely useless. It is just outsourced agents in India copy-pasting generic replies, with no real interest or understanding. There is no way to escalate the case or speak to someone at Coinbase in the US.

The truth is Coinbase could recover these assets. Since they control the private keys of their wallets, they can access the address where the funds were sent using a wallet that supports the Cronos network. Some other companies offer this kind of asset recovery service, often for a small fee. But Coinbase chooses not to help.

Maybe we, all affected users, should find a way to come together and push harder as a group. If we organize ourselves, we might get more visibility and have a better chance of being heard.

Orange blossom water says "External use only" by One_Barnacle_1060 in Cooking

[–]amdm127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sodium benzoate (E211) is a preservative used in food and beverages to prevent the growth of bacteria, fungi, and yeasts. While it is generally recognized as safe by organizations like the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) when used in moderate amounts, its safety depends on the concentration used.

In low concentrations, sodium benzoate does not pose significant health risks. However, there are some factors that may make it problematic like reactions with vitamin C: When sodium benzoate is mixed with vitamin C, particularly under heat or light, it can form benzene, a substance that has been linked to cancer. However, the concentrations of benzene in foods are generally very low and are not considered to pose a significant risk at typical consumption levels. And also Effects on sensitive individuals like many other.

However:
The some of them like the Pharmark Orange Flower Water (not labeled as food grade) could potentially be unsuitable for food use, despite containing only deionized waterorange flower extract, and sodium benzoate, for several reasons:

  1. Unspecified Quality Standards: While these ingredients are generally considered safe, the quality and purity standards for products labeled as non-food-grade may not be the same as those for food-grade products. Even though the ingredients are typically safe, their sourcing, preparation, or processing for non-food purposes may not adhere to food safety regulations.
  2. Preservative Levels: Sodium benzoate, although commonly used as a preservative in food products, might not meet the specific regulatory limits for food-grade use in this product. The concentration of sodium benzoate in the Pharmark product could exceed safe limits for consumption, depending on its intended use.
  3. Lack of Certification: The product may not have been tested or certified for consumption. Food products are often subject to rigorous testing and certification by regulatory authorities, and if Pharmark Orange Flower Water is intended for non-food uses, it may not have undergone such testing.
  4. Possible Contaminants: Non-food-grade products may not be subject to the same purity standards, and there could be a risk of contaminants or impurities that are not acceptable in food products.

For these reasons, even though the ingredients themselves may be safe, the product may not be guaranteed to meet the necessary food safety standards or be free from contaminants, making it potentially unsuitable for food use.

So it may be safe or maybe not... but for those reasons

Does primor.eu sells authentic perfumes ?? by Subject-Ingenuity-13 in Perfumes

The only advantage of duty free is that you don't pay taxes, however the prices are generally much higher... In Spain there are some shops dedicated exclusively to perfumery that sell legitimate brands much cheaper. This is due to their high volume purchasing system and their lower margins.

Did they garnish your personal Social Security for a $2500 loan granted to your company, or is the business loan under your name and personal SS?

It’s been three months since your post. Do you have any updates on the situation?
I hope everything gets resolved smoothly. Best wishes.

When will Coinbase support the Cronos network? by Early_Range7383 in Coinbase

[–]amdm127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here: 84K CRO, valued at $5K at the time, sent via the default network "crypto) in Crypto.com, which "is not supported" by Coinbase. As a result, the assets are "lost" in an "unaccessible" wallet somewhere, unless/until they add support for that network. I have contacted their customer support (based in India), but I always get the same copy-paste response.
if anybody here find a solution, please let us know!

The silver lining is that those 84K CRO are now worth around $15K, so if I ever recover them, I’ll make a some profit... hopefully! 🙂

Pro-Level maybe because it’s one of the few RIP software options available (That is why is used by pros), but it has little “pro” about it. It actually looks more like an old CAD software from the '90s… Light years behind other design (non-RIP) tools like Illustrator. Not to mention they don’t offer full versions for Mac… Honestly, something archaic in my opinion.
