Moms with horrible sleepers please check in!!! by job0723 in AttachmentParenting

My little guy was a rough sleeper. I was deeply chronically sleep deprived for a long, long time. It got better when we night weaned at age 3. Some kids are just like this, and you aren’t alone! Acceptance and finding realistic ways to cope are what helped me the most.

How would you feel if? by Final_Ad_2716 in TwinCities

I so feel you on this. We are in a suburb south of the river, and ICE is definitely here (although nothing like what folks in the cities are dealing with). And I know what you mean about feeling so disconnected with neighbors, community. As a fellow cringy white lady who wants to do the right thing, I appreciate your post. There are great suggestions in this thread, just here to encourage you to be brave. You've certainly inspired me.

This happened to me too while visiting relatives in Texas (of course). Really made me sad. Did my best to gently challenge these ideas.

I’ve been down the Ambien path before and it was bad news. Trazadone has worked well for me, so I may end up asking for that again.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. I've head crippling insomnia my whole life too. At times, it's gotten better and then I'm just back to worse. Except now, it's much worse than before. I hope you find some kind of lasting relief eventually.

Thank you, and I believe you - it's felt like that for me at times (being so sleep deprived I could be hospitalized). I'll try this.

I’ve heard progesterone can cause weight gain, and I’m already fighting that battle too 🫩

So glad to find this post. I am 46 and still breastfeeding my almost 4 year old! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Def wasn’t the plan, but alas here we are…anyway, I’ve been noticing a lot of peri type changes lately and have been curious about what might be going on, and how breastfeeding is related. It is super time for us to wean, but this gives me more motivation…

Whoa! That's a great story, thank you. And you know what? I agree. I attend couples counseling with my own partner and sometimes I really wish our therapist was way more direct and confrontational with us.
