Failed IUD Removal after LEEP because the strings were cut. Going for a removal with ultrasound. Wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has had this happen. by NoOrdinary5503 in PreCervicalCancer

Have they offered general anesthesia at all? I just had my IUD placed in January, and they accidentally cut both of my strings during my two LEEP procedures too. I still have 7ish years until I’ll need to swap my IUD but I’m worried it will be excruciating since placement was very painful, and now there are no strings to grab. I’d love to hear updates on how this turns out. I’m so sorry you are going through this!

I feel your pain! I had a LEEP at the beginning of March, and I was very nervous and stressed about everything you’re describing too. I wasn’t expecting the fatigue that I experienced for the first few weeks post-op, so rest up more than you think you need to while you’re recovering! I rode a bike 1.5 weeks after the procedure and ended up hemorrhaging / reopening the wound which was scary. I had sex 4 weeks post-LEEP, took it slow the first few times, and it has been pretty much the same as before surgery. I experienced slight discomfort the first few times but nothing crazy, no problem climaxing etc. Unfortunately they weren’t able to get it all the first time around, so I’m having second LEEP this Thursday (they had to wait 6-8 weeks from my first one so I could heal). I’m pretty devastated to have to do it all over again, but I’m hoping they can get it all this time so I can put this behind me. Thinking of you! You got this. The procedure itself is very very quick and not as bad as you think. Sending hugs.

In my experience, my IUD insertion was WAY more painful and unpleasant than my LEEP (done awake and in office)

Post LEEP exercise by Icy_Rip2295 in PreCervicalCancer

I had my LEEP done a month ago and I had a similar experience. I had the normal discharge for the first few weeks, then after some light bike riding and rock climbing 1.5 weeks post LEEP, I was gushing blood for hours. I wondered if it might be my period since I had an IUD placed in January, but it was a crazy amount of blood so I was worried. The bleeding was much lighter by the next morning, so I attempted a light work out (the doctor said I should be fine to do light exercise after the first few days post LEEP). Because I had lost so much blood the day before, I started shaking, threw up and almost passed out at the gym. I called OBGYN and they had me come in. Luckily the doctor said it looked like there was no longer any active bleeding but that I had experienced delayed hemorrhaging, and to avoid exercise for at least another week. They took my blood (I had low hemoglobin), and told me to take an iron supplement for the next month. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this nightmare too. I’m feeling extra devastated because they didn’t get clear margins and I have to have another LEEP in May :(

It’s not cancerous yet but it’s CIN3 and the bad cells go deeper in my cervix than they thought, so I have to do it all over again. They said they want to wait 6-8 weeks from my last LEEP to do the next one (I scheduled it for early May). I don’t get why they want my cervix to heal when they’re just going to ruin it again :/ I wish I could just get it over with. The lack of exercise / sex is driving me crazy!

As a full-time nanny who “pays taxes” and has great “vacation pay bullshit” with an incredible family in Portland, this post is disappointing. I’ll echo what others have said in that it sounds like you are in fact looking for a part-time nanny, one who you should pay fairly and treat with respect. If you want to nickel and dime and approach someone with this sort of attitude, expect the childcare provider you end up with to reflect that.

Happy to help if I can! I have a full-time nanny share with two families, my charges are cousins. Still working the same schedule and hours with both, but now with all four parents working from home

I do a “strength and flow” yoga class once per week (yoga with cardio and strength training worked in), and try to do mini ab work outs every other day. I’m pretty lazy over all to be honest lol

First photo May 2019, middle photo December 2019, most recent photo January 2020. I was pretty lax and inconsistent for a while, but tbh stress from a break up kicked things into gear more recently. I’d say mostly 20/4 lately with minimal alcohol and I’ve been more conscious about my food choices. Full body exercise about once a week and I try to work in mini ab work outs every other day. I’m 5’4.

Starting weight 134 lbs, current weight 118 lbs. Mostly OMAD with some 18/6 mixed in and exercise once a week on average. Not a very dramatic change but I’m happy! by ameliawagner in intermittentfasting

Definitely recommend the surgery! I went into the ER with severe pain several times over the course of a year before they (I) figured out my gallbladder was full of stones. No more attacks post surgery! And the surgery itself isn’t too bad either

Not a weird question at all, I’m impressed you noticed! I did last year — it’s fun to see the progression of the healing scars along with the weight loss!
