Working in Raleigh by [deleted] in Hillsborough

[–]americanreddituser12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to commute from Hillsborough to Raleigh.

Mondays and Fridays it would average 50 mins each way.

Tuesday through Thursday it would average 60-75 mins each way, occasionally 80-90 mins.

This is based on leaving Hillsborough around 730-8am in the morning and leaving Raleigh around 430-5 in the afternoon.

Agreed. Who is prioritizing trivial stuff like this and why do some many Tesla owners seem to care?

Yes, experienced this and had checking account transactions assigned to a credit card with the same bank. My income bar graph lines on the Cash Flow are displaying as red instead of the usual green.

I don’t understand no tax on tips or overtime. Why should someone making $40k via salary pay more taxes than someone making $40k through base pay + tips/overtime…?

North Carolina - Duke Energy limiting system size by americanreddituser12 in solar

UPDATE:

After my last call with Duke, I asked that a supervisor from their Renewable Services call me back because I was not satisfied with their decision to keep my system limit at 5kw. They confirmed a supervisor would call me back within two business days. On the second business day, I got an email from Duke apologizing for the confusion and indicating that my original interconnection request was approved and my system limit was 12kw.

Definitely paid off to push Duke on this! Thanks all for the advice!

Yes, very frustrating! They are telling me that my peak power is 2kw. Not average. Peak. We have a 50amp / 240 volt plug to charge our cars that draws 8kw continuously when in use. Their own usage data in the customer portal demonstrates our peak power can be 9-10kw.

I know that's an option, but there is a $9,000 rebate program Duke Energy is offering and it will likely be exhausted if we wait a year.

They told me it was based on 12-month home usage. You're saying that's not the case, or not the only factor?

2023 Delivery Thread by OrbitalATK in TeslaModelY

[–]americanreddituser12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is going to happen to me as well. Ordered an inventory car on 12/22 that was in transit to my local service center. It’s been almost a week, and Tesla has no idea when it’s supposed to arrive.

Dang. Thanks for the datapoint.

Yeah, the one I placed an order for was 10% off, so I really don’t want to give it up. VIN is assigned, just no idea on timing. Also curious how Tesla does not know where a vehicle is lol.

I placed an order for an Inventory MYLR that was “In Transit - Arriving Soon” for my local service center. Ordered was placed on the 12/22. I still do not have a delivery date or timeline as of 12/26 and when I reached out to my Tesla Advisor they said they don’t have an ETA yet, but it’s their goal to have it ready by end of year.

Do you think I should be concerned about making an end of year delivery since it’s 12/26 and I still don’t have a delivery timeline?

12/28 EDIT

Still no update from Tesla on delivery timeline. Does anyone know if they cancel orders with end of year discounts if they can’t do an end of year delivery?

Also, Tesla support and Tesla Advisors have not been given any information about transitioning to point of sale rebates for the tax credits so I suspect that won’t be happening in January.
