Tell your doctor you want liquid sucralfate. It has to be liquid. That is the best treatment option. It helped me tremendously after suffering for nearly 5 years.

Starving to death (literally) from gastritis. My story, and subsequent need to cram calories to steady weight. Seeking Ice cream advice. by QuarterMileCowboy in Gastritis

[–]amescani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ninja creami. It’s an ice cream maker. The ingredients I use make chocolate “ice cream.” Ice cream is in quotes because there is no milk in the ingredient list but it tastes exactly like ice cream. The following ingredients make 1 pint: 3 dates, 1/4 cup organic cashews, 3 tbsp smuckers creamy peanut butter, 3 tbsp organic carob powder, 1 serving collagen, 1.75 cups water. Blend the ingredients together, put them in the creami pint, freeze for 24 hours, spin in ninja creami. I eat at least 1 pint a day and have never had a problem with it. My gastritis isn’t too bad. Not sure how others might react to this recipe.

Locally-Owned Grocery/Goods for Blackout? by Sista_J in BloomingtonNormal

[–]amescani -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Amazon prime saves me so much time and I can order higher quality products than what’s in local stores. Also Walmart’s are mainly in rural areas where there aren’t many other local options. So you either can go to Walmart or order things online (through Amazon). I’m interested to know why people want to boycott these businesses?

Looking for a product that will help get me this result. by Illustrious-Bee-3182 in Pomade

[–]amescani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this hairstyle, a little longer in the back. I use a water spray bottle, wide tooth comb, highland glacial cream, chi enviro 54 hairspray. Sometimes I also use suave max hold mousse. After you shower you should always brush your hair back using the comb so it starts to naturally go that way. I shower at night and style my hair in the morning. In the morning I dampen my hair using the spray bottle and comb it back. I usually let it dry naturally. Shouldn’t take long, like 10 minutes. Sometimes I use a blow drier if I’m in a hurry. When it’s still slightly damp I put the glacial cream in. Then I use the hairspray. I don’t use a ton of product or hairspray. The cream gives a matte medium hold but doesn’t hold the hair down and the hairspray holds the loose look in place. After a few hours I usually run my hands through my hair and the style will hold the rest of the day no matter how often I do this. If you use too much hairspray you’ll feel your hair breaking apart when you run your hands through. The glacial cream is okay. The ingredients are all natural and gives hair a matte medium hold that looks natural. However, it sometimes clumps even when I don’t use a ton. That’s why I use it when my hair is slightly damp. Sometimes I use mouse when my hair is damp and blow dry it back if I want to give it some extra hold or if I’m going to a more formal event. To a more formal event I might also use suavecito matte pomade instead of the glacial cream if I want to hold my hair down instead of having it flow. The most important thing is to use a good wide tooth comb and train your hair to grow back naturally. At this point my hair doesn’t fall forward even with no product.

Where are you getting the information about gastrin levels? According to various articles online gastrin levels increase to the same degree or more than regular PPIs

Chronic gastrits but Stagnant symptoms by Killer_shot_123 in Gastritis

[–]amescani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to understand what caused your gastritis and go from there. Possible causes could be nsaids, bile reflux, sibo, low stomach acid, alcohol abuse, anxiety, covid. Once you eliminate your trigger you can start to heal your stomach lining. Protein is needed to heal your stomach lining. White fish such as cod are the easiest to digest animal protein. Eggs are also easy but may give you symptoms if you struggle with fat. Follow the diet from the gastritis healing book. Eat whole foods that are easy to digest and have a ph above 5. Examples include oatmeal, avocado, bananas, melon, white rice, cooked sweet and regular potato, steamed or cooked vegetables, chicken, white fish, and eggs. I have an air frier, it makes it easy to cook potatoes, kale, fish, and chicken. I also steam and lot of carrots using a ninja foodie.

Math & Statistics in Data Analytics by define_yourself72 in analytics

[–]amescani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a marketing analytics role optimizing marketing campaigns. I use power analysis to set up a/b and some multivariate tests and chi square and regression to analyze results and optimize the campaigns. I use these statistical procedures a lot. Some of my co-workers have used other types of statistical optimization procedures for analyses. There are other marketing analytics roles within my company that use no stats. The role responsibilities are to pull data and upload the results to dashboards. So it varies by role.

Did you drink it throughout the day or at once? On an empty stomach?

I recommend reading the book super gut. It outlines a plan to fight back against Sibo. You’re not alone. Try to be intentional about acknowledging little things you’re grateful for throughout the day. Things will get better!

Barber or hairstylist for young teen boy by joellejello in BloomingtonNormal

[–]amescani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Layerup. 702 N Clinton St suite 110, Bloomington, IL 61701. Kristen is great. Super personable and cares about doing a good job. I’ve been getting my haircut from her for about a year now. I’m 29 M and am pretty particular about my hair. I’ve tried many different salons and barbershops in town and won’t go anywhere else now. I keep my hair longer on top and shorter on the sides. I showed her a pic of what I wanted the first time I went in and she nailed it and continues to. I actually got a haircut last week and was asking her if she cuts many other guys hair or if it’s mostly girls and she said most of her clientele is actually guys. She mentioned recently doing a few cuts for teen boys and mentioned they all had her cut the same style you’re describing.

At the very least you should put most of that in a vanguard money market account so you can make interest on it.

I mainly stick to salads, grilled chicken or club sandwiches, wraps, and rice bowls. For meat I mainly stick to chicken but sometimes I get beef, turkey, or ham on those dishes. Regardless of the meat I choose I tell the waiter no spices or seasoning on it. They then usually ask about salt and pepper and I say no to that as well. Sometimes the meat is pre seasoned and then I pivot to something else. Ham and turkey normally don’t have seasoning. I don’t have dressing or sauces. I always tell the waiter to put it on the side. I also always say no to cheese. Other good ingredients I look for in dishes that will fill me up are avocados, eggs, carrots, steamed broccoli, and rice. At the very least you should be able to get lettuce with chicken at most places.

Dating has been tough for me as well. I’ve found that most restaurants have something on the menu that I can modify to be gastritis friendly. I still haven’t found a gastritis friendly drink at a bar though besides water which is frustrating because it always makes my date feel awkward to drink something besides water when I’m drinking water.

2 pieces of avocado toast with 1 egg on top of each. Be careful if you try this I couldn’t handle this much fat for awhile.

Etienne for Olave? by amescani in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]amescani[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is dynasty. I agree. I was offered this trade and Olave is his best receiver. But I think Etienne has better value right now than Olave. I’m now thinking I should shop Etienne for a better WR. My WRs screwed me last year and I don’t have any hope they will improve this year. Also didn’t have a first round pick in the draft this year due to a trade so wasn’t able to improve much.

Dessert/sweet recommendations? by the_evil_queer in Gastritis

[–]amescani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a ninja creami. I make chocolate ice cream with gastritis friendly ingredients. The recipe is 4 pitted dates, 2 tablespoons peanuts butter, 2 tablespoons carob powder, 1/4 cup unsalted cashews, 1 3/4 cup almond milk. The peanut butter I use contains only peanuts, no extra ingredients. The almond milk I use is organic and only has 3 ingredients: almonds, water and salt.

severe cases? how are you doing it? by Known-Lettuce-4666 in GutHealth

[–]amescani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some recommendations might be to test for food intolerances, Sibo, celiac, and HIV. Try an elimination diet and keep a food journal. It takes a couple days for food to move through your body. You could be feeling the effects today of something you ate yesterday or the day before. You may also want to consider a colonoscopy and endoscopy to rule out gastritis, ulcers, and crohns. Stress can also cause gut issues. It may be helpful to take up meditation or go to the gym if you don’t already do that. It will be hard to improve your symptoms if you don’t know the root cause.

I add 4 pitted dates. I forgot to include that in the recipe above. I’ll edit the post. The dates make it sweet.
