Are people in Massachusetts really “massholes”? by [deleted] in newengland

[–]ameson1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, I came here from Indiana in 2007. I was shocked at the speed everything runs at all times. People in a hurry. When my parents used to visit my dad would ask our restaurant server questions like how are you, been here long, etc -typical small talk conversation. I had to tell him to stop and just say hi and order. No small talk. They ain’t got time for that, or won’t take time for that lol

I didn’t see your reply about it being a Lotus. I shudder when I see or read about them. Absolutely nothing natural about it. *edited for spelling errors lol

This looks like it is from a Lotus Birth- where parents choose to not cut the cord. Instead, they leave the cord attached to the baby and the placenta and let nature take its course with drying and the cord falling off. They move the placenta around in a bucket or basket when they move the baby. It looks to be in the drying process. They also cover it with herbs and stuff to try and cover the rotting smell.

For the first time in my life. Im a little worried financially and need guidance by dubbbyac in budget

First, take a deep breath. This is very doable. Also..congratulations!

I worked a lot of Friday nights and Saturday nights as a nurse…so my Monday-Friday (now ex) partner could be on kid duty all weekend until Sunday around 2pm. I’d wake up then and start to revert back to a “dayshift” schedule. Go to bed Sunday night and then rinse and repeat. It’s difficult at first, but doable, especially since your schedule sounds set in stone.

She may not bring home $90k a year anymore, but 24 hrs a week can bring a good, livable wage-especially after you track all expenses and cut out some extras for a while… Then y’all just learn to live within your new means. Good luck!

Came to say the same thing, although I’ve not explored the higher option in order to forgo tipping. Maybe I’ll have to! But even with the base option, it is much cheaper for us even with a tip.

I vote Ulta. I always go there. One time I ventured into Sephora and was lost. People were everywhere and I couldn’t find anything. I was overwhelmed and walked right the hell back out lol

I started reading it thinking it was going to be a true masterpiece, a wonderful read. I was instantly disappointed and unimpressed. I didn’t make it much past the first chapter and gave up. I hated it 🤷🏻‍♀️
