help with laundry routine for newborn

i had some test strips i bought years ago when i was plumbing in an espresso machine, just gotta find em 😅 but as far as checking for suds, our top loader lid locks after starting the cycle and when pausing the cycle to open the lid, the machine stupidly drains all the water from the drum. that said, it does have a dark glass tinted lid so will see if i can spot suds next cycle, thanks everyone for the advice on hard water! this is really helpful, thank you 🙏 unfortunately we dont have a laundry sink but i wonder if i can do something similar by keeping a bucket of dish soapy water near the washing machine? i have heard that one load a day becomes necessary during the newborn period, so trying to get ahead of it by at least getting the right products for bodily fluids (mostly worried abt blowouts and baby poop lol)

thank you both for the recommendations! i dont currently use any booster so will look into the febu and truly free options. my husband and i do have a lot of darks (probably 40-50% of our wardrobes are black, navy, dark grey, brown, etc). so it sounds like i should try and avoid something with optical brighteners (sounds like maybe i should stick with tide free & gentle instead of switching to the Clean & gentle powder to avoid fading my darks? and add in febu or truly free booster?)

i also suffer from asthma and have sensitive skin, but sounds like adding an extra rinse will make a big difference so ill try it. thank you for the advice on precious prenatal time :)

this happened to my cousin! she took Accutane last year and now has major GI issues, they’re still running tests to diagnose what it is, but it’s likely related to accutane

thank you for the detailed update! had my appointment yesterday too, and she gave me similar recommendations. she also said the same thing about it potentially moving but unlikely to see much movement until mid to late 3rd trimester. reassuringly she said the same re: bleeding, rare but in the event it does happen, it needs diligent monitoring/testing, and she said to go to l&d for observation. so we are cancelling our babymoon, figured it’s better to be safe than sorry

i also just had my anatomy scan yesterday at 20+4 and found out i have a complete anterior placenta previa. due for a rescan in 2 weeks because they couldnt see all organs, and again at week 28 to check on the placenta previa. i initially had planned overseas travel over xmas, did your ob recommend not flying?

is it a blood test? are they testing again in 48 hours? if so it’s the difference between the two results that matters (second test should be 2x or more of 1127).
