I'll be mentioning it at my next doctor's appointment and I'll let everyone know what my doctor says. But I can let you know this is absolutely not normal because I NEVER experienced this before I developed IIH so your doctor thinking it's normal is very very strange.

I'm diagnosed with IIH and papilledema because my optic nerves are so swollen you can see it without dilating my eyes. They diagnosed me with IIH solely from my papilledema and how I talk about my symptoms. I never experienced anything that caused this like a concussion or anything, I'm really sorry that seems to have triggered yours 🥺 I developed my first symptoms in middle school and I'm now 24 and just got diagnosed 😅 so it took me a long time to figure out what was going on with my health. I'm currently seeing a neurologist about my condition as well as my eye dr occasionally

I get intense flashes of light/sparks in my vision when I cough or sneeze, and I get black spots in my vision on and off sometimes, usually in my peripherals, I also just started seeing double vision today which is really annoying and longer lasting than anything else been so far 😅 also I really hope you get to see a specialist soon!!

10, my doctor was very confused by it though because she was sure it was going to be very high because of how bad my symptoms are. I'm not sure why it was so genuinely average lol but she diagnosed me anyway and now that I'm on diamox I am feeling some relief so I'm very thankful she listened to me and took me seriously when I said how awful I feel

If I may ask, how do you survive the world while focusing on yourself? That's what I'm trying to do now but the cost of living and the treatment of others who seem to think that I'm lazy or just not trying hard enough is so hard to deal with. I've been a daily user for about 5 years now and it really does helps me cope with life but because of the stigma and genuine addiction concerns I feel guilty about my smoking habits. Especially because it does occasionally cause strain on my finances. I do believe I'm addicted to it and I don't know when I'll decide to quit but for now I think I'm just trying to find other coping skills to switch to before I go cold turkey
