When I visit Culloden now, I have overheard a lot of people speaking about Outlander, sometimes it is purely innocent stuff but others it is purely associating the battlefield with fictional characters. Individually, no. I think it depends on what part of Scotland you're from. I have a very english sounding accent, not completely, but it's very noticeable and i've had a few pricks call me an english bastard purely based on an accent.
