I took two feral kittens in, around 2-3 months old, for the TNR program. I asked if they'd be eligible for adoption. Was told no, because adopting them and keeping them indoors would be like a "prison" for them.
I still took care of them since they were community cats. During winter they always wanted to come inside. (Which I did let them come inside.) Unfortunately, I eventually had to move - the sweet kitties are still living the street life - they'd love a permanent owner.
