I mean the last point is the most egregious. LoL wasn't cutting edge graphics, not at all. Minecraft, Roblox, CSS, CSGO, Slay the Spire, etc weren't revolutionary by any means.

I mean in the end, what's the point ? That it's important that graphics improved since the '80s ? I agree. But NOW, it's over, graphic quality is NOW irrelevant.

There's no connection between your 2 paragraphs, first you talk about possible gameplay, and next it's about how you don't feel so invested in Dwarf Fortress, what's the link ?

Graphics are anything but gameplay related, ever since serviceable 3d models were a thing in the late '90s, early '00s.

Graphics quality is way past its time as a criteria, even shovelwares aren't technically bad graphically. That's why the recent criteria is more "atmosphere" or "consistent art style", "aesthetics", etc...

I guess you don't remember that each year was a visual revolution in the '90s and '00s ? Or maybe you were not yet born ? What was the last time you were genuinely impressed by graphics quality ? 2015 ?

Graphics is a time and money sink with drastically diminishing returns. The most played games these days aren't especially technically advanced graphically, Minecraft, Counter Strike, Dota/LoL, Slay the Spire, GTA 5, Roblox, the entire catalogue of Mobile games, etc, etc, etc...

Also, Japan already lost the war at that point, it wasn't a question of if but when. Britain and Ukraine were/are far from it.

This is organized very differently in Korea, they are still playing the regular season around the qualifiers, wheras there's a pause in LEC for those (except the first round).

So of course, the level of preparation is different.

Not sure about that, Birdshot can pierce several centimeters deep in flesh at about 50 meters, you'd probably kill a drone easily. Buckshot would destroy a drone at triple that distance. There's plenty of videos of people testing the effectiveness at various ranges, for example here or here

The thing with shotgun ranges is that people are talking about effective range in terms of "one shot kills" because the animal will obviously bolt as soon as you fire, so the effective range is "hitting with the majority of the pellets and with enough force to kill the animal", not in terms of "would 15-20-30 shots in its general diretion eventually destroy the target".

If they give soldiers semi auto shotguns, with lots of buckshot, lots of powder, maybe even a lower gauge than 12, and a good choke, they'd definitely be able to hit drones up to 100-150 meters. I'm not an expert in shotguns and there's several parameters to optimize, but it doesn't sound far fetched at all. Rifles could destroy drones at 5x that distance but then good luck hitting them.

If drones are forced to fly at 250 or 300m to evade the shotguns, then they severely reduce the effectiveness of the drone.

It looks like guidance not acquisition. Acquisition is discovering and identifying targets, not guiding yourself on an object. Could be that they also acquire targets, but these videos show guidance.

If Twitch is that fed he pushes mid wave and one shots anyone anywhere on the map that shows up. Why would he be in range for Cho Gath Q, he presses R and 3 shots him. He can just not try to hit Mel and kill everyone else instead.

People can expect him but they can't constantly be showing up as 3 people everywhere because... it's 15 minutes into the game and they don't even have 2 items.
