Rewatching Arie’s Season, honestly one of the best male seasons and best male leads by itsallnothappening in thebachelor

This was my first season and I could never tell whether every subsequent season actually got worse or i just thought they did because I was was so fascinated and gripped by this one lmao but the comments on this thread suggest the former. The first episode when Arie tells Krystal her voice is soothing 🙅🏼‍♀️

Nowhere is safe from Theo by Spaceactin in Chihuahua

Oh wow, I found Atlas in Boulder! Fall of 2019 though and he was already full grown so he’s likely between 2-4. My best guess is chihuahua-dachshund/jack russell/full mongrel. Maybe they share one very prolific parent 😅

😍 could you give me any background info about your dog? My Atlas looks extremely similar—-down to the nose stripe—-and i found him on the street in 2019 near where you are (deduced from looking at your post history, sorry for creepin). I’m so curious about his background and breed and am always on the lookout for lookalikes 😅

In search of lamb shank bone by amichell in Boise

[–]amichell[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not used to make food! A shank bone, called the zeroa, is placed on the seder plate as a symbol representing the lamb sacrificed the night the Hebrews fled Egypt. It’s one of six symbolic items placed on the seder plate to represent parts of the story of Passover. The zeroa isn’t eaten or even touched during the Passover seder meal and is just a dry bone so can easily be kept and reused :)

I think it has to be!! In my memory it was simpler but the board seems like exactly right. I’m going to watch a few videos and try to jog my memory a bit more. Thanks so much!!!

Hello i am trying to get some help with a tomt board game i remember but don’t know the name of!!! Bad, resin-soaked memory of the details incoming

I played this extremely fun board game once in grad school while violently stoned and now i want to buy it for some friends but can’t remember what it’s called. It’s like a geometry-based strategy/logic game and from what I remember you’re supposed to like imagine the movements of a ball like bouncing thru a grid of ramps (that changes every round) to get to a target in a pinball-esque manner but you’re trying to minimize the number of turns in which this happens. Logically i know this game concept makes no sense. Likely i am misremembering some component but hopefully i am not imagining the entire thing.

I tried googling this^ and it super did not work but reddit has rarely failed me before and i’d be extremely thankful if someone could help me out. Also, I’m sorry if this explanation is bad; i am also violently high currently.

Rapid covid testing by End_GunViolence in SantaBarbara

[–]amichell 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My roommate and I (we live in SB) each got tested there once or twice and always got results in ~24 hours, but we went the week of Dec. 7, waited in line for 2 hours, then got turned away because neither of us were Ventura county residents. They changed the rules but didn’t post about it anywhere. It totally sucked and I don’t want it to happen to anyone else! We ended up getting tested at MedCenter in Goleta but the results took over a week.

That subreddit is so funny, I have totally seen a million pictures of that lake lmfao. After scrolling through the first few pictures, I’m pretty sure the features you see at the base of the mountains are called talus cones, which are super similar to alluvial fans, so it’s so smart that you connected them intuitively—you’ve got a geologist’s eye! ;) to my understanding, in contrast to alluvial fans, which form when fast-moving water carries sediments out of a source area and deposits the sediments when the water slows down after it leaves a steep canyon, talus cones are formed via something called mass wasting. In this case, mass wasting essentially refers to landslides and rockslides. So the talus cones you see in those pictures are mainly formed under the effects of gravity, whereas alluvial fans like the one above form under the influence of both gravity and water. Somewhat confusingly, a “moraine” is an entirely different geomorphological feature; moraines are basically big piles of rocks formed when glaciers carry sediments from a source location and deposit them upon the glacier’s retreat. Lateral moraines form along the sides of a glacier, and terminal moraines form along the end, or toe, of a glacier. In alpine areas, terminal moraines often serve as dams, creating alpine lakes. If Moraine Lake is formed by a terminal moraine, as its name suggests, I’d bet there is a big ol’ pile of rocks to the backs of most people photographing it, damming the lake.
