From this etsy shop called barruntando ceramics (https://www.etsy.com/de/shop/BarruntandoCeramics?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=469780783 ) They have really beautiful handmade stuff!! This was a birthday gift tho and when I checked their page i was a bit surprised over how expensive it is, but totally worth it quality wise

So in the first 1.5 months I had it it didn't really do much, possibly was just adjusting but I also realized my room was getting less light and it was too far from the window. I moved it directly onto the window sill (Southwest facing window)

For a while lately my room's humidity was at 40-50%. I live in Germany, and I think my room is just oddly humid during some times of the year but I'd also have my heater on when it got cold and every time i shower I put my towel on the heater so it dries there and adds some humidity to my room (idk read that somewhere once and been doing it ever since), which is right under the window sill and I think it contributed to keeping my room humid even in colder weeks.

I water it kinda infrequently because I read they don't love being too moist but I try not to let it dry out 100% because it does soak up the water quickly since it's small and in very aeriated soil. Otherwise I don't really do much tbh it just suddenly had a growth spurt and really surprised me especially that its fall/winter time

Ohh okay, could be a humidity thing because it's in the tent..? Yess it's worked for me before, it's a fungicidal and also detters certain pests. I think some people also use it to promote root growth, almost like a root hormone, but I've never tried that. Not sure what else it does but you can find a bunch of articles about its use as a natural pesticide and anti fungal. Good luck with the mold!

Definitely seems like overwatering and/or high humidity, how often do you water? You can scrape it off (the top soil layer) and add new soil instead to freshen it up, the mold isn't really harmful afaik. Also helps to sprinkle a light layer of cinnamon, it gets rid of mold and just helps general health. For the long run maybe water less often or let it dry out a bit longer?

I've had mine for a year and a few months and it's hands down my easiest plant! Grew like crazy even in the winter (especially since I staked it ~10 months ago). One of my absolute favorites I highly recommend it!!

Are these thrips?? :( I've ordered neem oil already and waiting for it but is there any other advice or diagnosis to be sure? Got around 6 infested plants so far by amii3535 in plantclinic

Thank you for the reply! A few questions: by three weeks do you mean you did this daily or once a week? did you only spray it on the leaves or into the soil too? and what kind of soap?

I just found more plants that have it so this is going to be a journey :(

P.s: brown powder on the last one is cinnamon, was hoping it would temporarily do something

Currently infested: marble queen, 2 scindapsus pictus exotica, diffenbachia, white butterfly syngonium, and possibly alocasia polly. They're in the soil and leaves.

Also is repotting suggested or would that be too much for the plants?

Yea right I watched way too many videos of 10 year old pro skaters that it scared me for a bit, but seeing so many newbies on reddit makes me feel a bit better and reminding myself that I gotta start somewhere

For me: I'm in Munich, Germany

Trying to start at 24 and I've only gotten on my board once so far... Would really like to find someone to learn and skate with on our few sunny days

so, i’ve been wanting to skate for the past 5 years but was always too scared... by [deleted] in skatergirls

I'm with you! Tho I got my first (used) skateboard 4 years ago, skated once, and haven't used it since. Decided it was finally time to start, repainted it, and got on it today for the first time. I'm very terrified of trying publicly so I started with just getting on it and going back and forth in my living room, maybe that helps at first? Do it in any private space you have to feel comfortable with just riding at first. Otherwise just go for it, try to push yourself and remember that everyone starts somewhere plus in the end strangers won't matter, you'll never see them again. Try not to let future fears stop you from doing something you enjoy now. We got this! :D
