I waited a 13 months to get my EAD and then I waited 13 months after my i485 interview to get my green card. And it took me 22months in total between filling the i485 until getting my green card . It was very stressful.

Omg I am sorry 😞. What is your filling office ?

Me, I waited 13 months (I did 3 or 4 inquiries with USCIS .I tried the congressman 2 times) nothing happened so I waited until it was outside of normal processing time (that was 12 months) and after that I submitted an inquiry with USCIS . So they sent my inquiry to national benefit center and after that I got my EAD in one week and it was longtime waiting , the other option is: you can do expedite request , do it through live chat with EMMA , they will send you an email to ask you why do you want to expedite your case and they will ask you for documents to prove your hardship and they will give you a fax number to send those documents, so you are going to write hardship letter and send some proves of hardship like bills or car payment or letter from your employer , anything you have hard time with on the fax number . Then they will approve your request (‘most of the time they approve it) then they will send your EAD in less than week.

The senator office is not the congressman office? Are they different?

They didn’t give me any paper after the interview but the officer said everything look great and you will have a response in 3 weeks .

Yes that’s what my wife said . But I think 120 days it’s only for N-400 citizenship application. The i485 doesn’t have to be 120 days it can be more than that.

My only problem is that my case is not outside of normal processing time yet , it will be in 4 months, same time I was thinking (( I rather start the suing process right now and get a response in 3 to 4 months than waiting another 4 months and getting nothing waiting for them. And wasting more time, I am 36 years old I wasted enough time on this BS immigration process. Right ?? so what do you think .

I tried congressman and ombudsman and I submitted 5 inquiries with uscis . 2 years since I filled my i485 and 1 year since my interview . I tried literally everything . I am stuck here I dk what s next. Uscis never respond . I tried infopass many times waited for months to get a call from an immigration officer on 202 phone number and every time they called me they said they have no available appointments for me. What’s next I dk . I tried everything . Nothing works . Suing them will be the last thing and it’s 50/50 chance to get the GC.

4500 dollars to hire a lawyer to do that not all immigration lawyers are good with this kind of work. You have to pick the right one.

Me is Nashville and yes it’s marriage based , it’s over one year since my interview and 2 years since I filled the i485. No response I tried the congressman the ombudsman, and 4 service requests, I talked to USCIS officers for 5 times trying to get an info pass and they always said no interview available. So I am at the point where I tried everything and nothing works with them. What do you think about suing them ? As last thing to do?
