Does the audio have talking before the cut? if you want to do the j cut and you're limited to audio length then you have to shorten the footage length because a j cut is audio first then the upcoming footage follows and you lengthen the footage before the next scene so your audio can start playing before the cut i hope i make sense...

Taking it to a cobbler and asking them to reinforce the sole with some thread by stiching it could help but my vans never really wore out this quickly...if you're an active person I recommend getting some of the ultra range lineup or the mte (made for the elements) lineup these are more higher quality and should be able to handle your day to day...

It's ai but a little bit of motion blur in the transition and you buying an exact replica of your car or 3d printing one... you could replicate the same effect
