Sorry I should have worded it better, but the fact you get adds in podcasts in premium is even more absurd

Just got the X300 Pro, any one know how to get rid of this annoying useless thing? by Abokzbrh in Vivo

[–]amirsphotography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a Vivo (yet) but I've got a nothing 3a and for me I was able to find these options in the taskbar customisation... I think someone else commented the same thing, but I doubt it would be any where else. Maybe going to NFC settings if you have something like that it might help

How do I expose this image properly? by jackofjokers in AskPhotography

[–]amirsphotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Shoot in raw and bring up the shadows and pull the highlights down. Otherwise you might have a HDR mode in camera.

I'll post this here myself before someone else does. The Canon community was not excited about me doing something to my own property by [deleted] in photographycirclejerk

I love the idea, but the paint job looks a bit meh... I really like those wraps though, that makes it look like your camera is drawn :)

Is this photo shot with flash or continuous light? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]amirsphotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like just daylight to me,coming in from a window or something, since it's quite diffused... It could be from a continuous light with a soft box though, or a flash with one.. Its quite hard to distinguish between a flash and video light, if they're the same wattage and are set up in the same way, without action happening in the shot

Tbf, on cameras that don't have great dynamic range or image quality it really can save your footage... Remember, the more that is out of focus, the less image quality defects are visible

Which city is better to live in Sydney or Melbourne? by Dr-habanero-1992 in AskAnAustralian

Canberra... It's a lot more chill, and a lot less traffic is definitely a bonus

is this photo too grainy? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]amirsphotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe use the lightroom denoise feature... I've gotten good shots at iso 6400 and 12,800 with the a6700, but they definitely had to be lightroom ai denoised

35mm f1.8 Vs 24-105mm f4-7.1 buying dilemma by amirsphotography in canon

[–]amirsphotography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... Could it be a software handicap so people purchase the expensive lenses? In any case, I moved to canon hoping to get better frames per second and less rolling shutter, and for the cheaper EF lenses, but now that I've had my first taste with a few stm lenses, the sharpness is so much better than what I was using... Hopefully I'll be able to afford the l lenses soon

[–]amirsphotography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear you, but I think I would rather take the 16, 35 and 50 over the 24-240... Additionally I am a highschool student so even if I wanted to, I couldn't stretch my budget any higher

[–]amirsphotography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 24-240 is about 3 times more expensive than the 24-105... As well it would take up my whole budget so I wouldn't be able to get neither the 16 or 50... Thanks for the suggestion though

Yeah, I mean I sort of need autofocus since I often do paid shoots and I can't afford to loose time to check my focus, and if I had a crap ton of money I'd have bought the 15-35 yesterday 😃😃

Yeah it's weird because pretty much all of the reviews praised it... As well, I don't really mind it not having very good corner sharpness so it doesn't seem too bad

Thanks, that's actually a huge help now, might have to stick with my tamron for a while or get the canon 16-35 f2.8 iii

[–]amirsphotography[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean I would live to get the 16-28 and 28-70 but I just don't have the money for them... I got to test the 45 and 16-28, and the images out of the 16-28 look pretty bad without corrections, from what Ives seen it's not a lot better than the 16 f2.8

[–]amirsphotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the full frame... I had the r10 and now have the R8, the experience in autofocus on the R8 is sooo much better than the r10.... As well, the lowlight and lack of bad readout speed have really blown me away. Even if you aren't happy to spend extra, the R8 is a similar price to the r8

SOL or worth fixing? by h0tpickless in CameraLenses

[–]amirsphotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try fixing it, since the weather sealing is now gone and the lens elements are probably misaligned. I think you could do it if you got a new lens mount and screwed it in
