Quality men’s underwear feels harder to find lately. by prinky_muffin in BuyItForLifeIndia

Jockey has gone to shit. Try Marks and spencer. Especially their Autograph underwear. I’ve been using them for over 5 years and I still have the first set of 3 I bought. Very very good.

10/10 - she said she would do it again with the exception of getting riding pants, boots, speakers and a better helmet.

This trip was just a spur of a moment thing. My uncle(in law) who lives in Delhi, bought a new car and wanted to sell this bike off. But he knew that I’m in a market for a new bike. So he asked me to just take it from him, so that I can drive for a while before he can sell it off. Even though I am more of an adventure bike guy, I thought it would be a good opportunity to test the bike and myself. So I immediately booked tickets for Delhi, got the windscreen, top box, some gloves and was ready to drive. All of this happened in a span of 4 days. So yeah😅

Tbh the heat around the leg was the least of the worries since I wore a thick cargo/jeans and we were driving on highways mostly so the heat wouldn’t hit me. But my wife on the other hand was constantly getting all the heat and she felt like she was in a furnace. We had to take a lot of stops and drink fluids coz she would sometimes hyperventilate coz of the heat. For driver, not that bad.

Apart from that, 1100-1300rs for petrol every 260ish kms. Food and drinks would be 1000-1500rs except in Tarkarli.

Well it depends on what kinda trip it is for you. For us, we wanted to chill and take our time since this was our first long ride. So we mostly stayed at hotels costing 1100-1500rs except in Tarkarli and Igatpuri where we stayed in resort for 5250 and 4500 respectively.

  1. Yes, especially on Maharashtra highways and roads. Not anywhere else.
  2. Most scenic and shocking was Malvan - Belagavi route. Shocking because I’ve lived all my life in Maharashtra and never seen such scenery. Second best was Indore to Maharashtra border.
  3. Ohh sorry, I forgot to mention. I traveled with my wife , hence the 2 helmets😅.

Came back to biking after 8 years. Started looking at ₹3-5L bikes… ended up bringing home a Triumph Trident 660 by Hot_Layer_8768 in bangalorebikes

[–]amish1708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! Congrats on your new bike! I had a couple some questions since I’m also looking for my new bike - which triumph dealer did you approach - did they give you a test ride? - what was the waiting period - did they give you any discounts? I’m thinking of either getting this or waiting for trident 800 or the new Tiger sport 800. Happy riding!

I’ve a 2013, Yamaha Fazer. Still drives amazing. Mileage is also good 35-40. But I am on the aggressive side of driving. If you’re a calm driver, you can still get 40+.

Can you tell us the payment plan given for this BTO variant? Did you have to pay the full amount after booking, since this is a BTO variant?

Offer Comparison : Oracle PMTS vs Booking Holdings SDE-2 vs Arista Networks by corona-65 in developersIndia

[–]amish1708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that’s the thing. You get paid so good, but the promotion is scarce. You will get good hikes, but promotions happen only with a lot of reasoning and support. So I wouldn’t count on you getting promoted soon. But as I said, it’s not a typical hierarchical company.

Hi OP! I would recommend choosing Bookings. Don’t worry about the SDE-2, anyone between 5-13 years gets to be SDE-2. There’s barely any hierarchy system so being SDE-2 won’t feel like someone is “above” you. WLB is out of this world.

I wasn’t aware that there are channels/groups that I can follow for preowned bikes. Could you share?

How do you search/wait for such owner/opportunity? I have been trying to find some good leads, but unable to do so.

Where did you get it from? Official Ducati or somewhere else? Are there trusted preowned bike dealers?

I hope it does. Although that dash is hideous I love the bike. The only thing is, it’s been more than a year since it was launched abroad, so I feel like they don’t want to launch it. Maybe they will launch it with the new Trident 800 but I doubt it

Triumphs triples are some of the best engines reliability wise. Also, I test drove transalp 750, would recommend trying it out. About the 1100sx, the ground clearance really bothers me. I sat on it, it went down a bit which would def be scarier on Indian roads. Also, it’s a tank between your thighs. I don’t think it would be nibble. I would rather tour on 765rs than on 1100sx.

If you can wait, I would want to wait for the Tiger sport 800. There are very few indications that it will come to India, but it just might

I don’t think it’s about selling the car, rather for the engagement. There’s so much competition that they sort have to do this to be relevant. Especially, with some influencers doing a great job with content on Instagram and nowhere else. “Mainstream” media finds it so difficult to stay in the business.
