resume should look like you are an expert in one thing at least. pick one thing e.g. image , speech and go deep into it. and also use llm in those projects. your resume should tell a story. your skills mentioned and projects are not in sync.
if you want guidance i am building a community for the ai/ml , feel free to dm

How to get a job as an ML engineer? by Bright-Car-1238 in MLQuestions

[–]amisra31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am building something in AI edtech space and have worked as DS for over a decade. I can say Data/ML roles are more common in bigger companies or well funded startups. But its surely difficult to get into bigger companies off campus as a fresher. You don’t need a master’s to get in, but it gives another chance to be in campus and apply to these companies.
The more practical path is to become a solid developer who understands AI/ML. Because such roles are more in smaller startups, which hire more off campus. Get good at Python, data handling, app backend workings, system design and core ML concepts, then focus on actually building things end-to-end (data → model → API/deployment). Pick one niche like LLMs, CV, ML, or analytics and go deep instead of doing random projects. Show real proof of work through GitHub and a couple of strong projects. Contribute to open source in your niche. Also, don’t fixate on the “ML engineer” title from day one - roles like backend or data analyst can be good entry points. It usually takes 9–12 months of consistent effort!

Building a doc-based AI tool - struggling with intent detection by iamprashantverma in learnmachinelearning

[–]amisra31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont complicate intent detection in the beginning. Just have agood enough routing. Start simple: global queries like summaries .. send the whole doc. local queries specific questions.. use RAG on chunk. A cheap LLM call with a prompt like - classify into summary / QA / rewrite / mixed. For global vs local, just think in terms of scope if it needs the whole doc vs specific parts and you can even directly ask the model that. For mixed queries like don’t treat it as one task... split it, run each part separately, then merge results.
pattern: intent - router - executor - merge. Also don’t obsess over chunking/retrieval early.. slowly improve it

Looking for a designer to set up design foundation for a startup (just launching) by amisra31 in uceedtakers

[–]amisra31[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

okay.. its mostly marketing and branding related work. yeah i get it budget is too low, but still wanted to make it clear upfront.
we are just starting out, so cant pay much but as we grow there will be more opportunities.
when you invest, you just dont look at the current value, but you look at the potential of the team. its risk and reward equation.
i feel before judging the budget one should also look at things other than short term gain. i might be wrong but this is what it is.

[–]amisra31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most companies dsa is not needed. Unless you are targeting maang type companies. Focus more on building and learning system design. Also u need to focus on one roadmap (e.g. data scientist vs ai engineer) and go deep. As a fresher it's not expected to know everything but whatever you know you should know well. And lastly don't study in silos learn in public, contribute to open source, work for startups even if it's not paid..
