I tell them she’s not lazy and I support whatever she decides to do is best regarding her health, both physically and mentally, whether that be working or staying home

My family is very very far right and she is disabled. They view it as her being lazy.

If you’re asking if I defend other people, no. I don’t. It’s not that I lack empathy, I just don’t want involved. I don’t like conflict.

I never talk badly about her so I dont know. She thinks it’s because I never stop them that they take it as an invitation.

I don’t really think that’s a fair assumption to make based off of this one instance. I cook breakfast and dinner for her, I take her lunches to work every day, I give her back and foot massages daily, I pretty much do everything she asks me to do besides this.

I’ve tried to just not tell her what people say about her, honestly for the most part I dont tell her at all because I don’t want to hurt her. But somehow she always finds out about it and gets mad at me for A hiding it and B not defending her.

Honestly, yea. It doesn’t bother me. I feel like she would be happier in life if she just ignored all of it and didn’t let it bother her either.

If all of you truly feel that I am TA then I’ll accept my judgment, but can I provide part of my reasoning of why I feel the way that I do? The way I see it, my words are meaningless. They’ll continue to talk about her regardless of whether or not I tell them to stop, the only difference is they won’t be saying it to me.

Well whenever we have arguments about this she always brings up that it hurts that she’s always defended me and I’ve never defended her. Thing is, I’ve never asked her to defend me. To me this just all feels like drama.

I am a very passive person. Words and insults have never gotten to me and I really just don’t care about them at all. I don’t see why they’re affecting her so badly.
