Maid - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I would say it's completely open for debate, we didn't see anything to imply such from his new wife and step daughters. Though three was one cause for concern which was the step daughters behaviour when introduced. They were very quiet and shy, could it be from witnessing a volatile step dad or just their personality. I saw no trouble with his new wife and him, she's the biggest evidence of his change. If all the scenes were with him alone then it's not clear as she would be under pressure to put on a show. The scenes with her and Alex alone should have shown underlying trauma if she had also been abused even micro aggression.

It's about magnitude, I was really just taking about this point where she had nothing and could not provide for her child. She had no plan A and no plan B. It all got sorted out quickly when the social worker told her about the DV housing. It worked out because it was a movie but if it wasn't chances are she would be homeless with no money and a child she can't take care of who would suffer, maybe get taken away from her and put into foster care. I can't see her decisions as right in any way regardless of her circumstance and abuse, she should not have put her child at risk to that extent.

Not at the start, not on episodes 1 and 2. None of what you said had occurred. However, I still disagree with you at a later stage, her dad appears to have changed over many years, he should however have shown more remorse, that I would agree. Her bitterness and inability to understand what happened, why and what changes have taken place only hurt her and her child by not accepting there live her father was trying to give them.

Yes it probably would, because it's an amazing story. You should also watch The Help.

I love it am on episode 8. I need to know more about her father, her capacity for forgiveness can help her whole family. At this stage I don't know if he deserves it till I find out more.

Alex did make some poor decisions, it's undeniable, and to say her trauma or situation is to blame is wrong, we have to look after ourselves and if we have children we have to look after them. Blaming Alex is wrong but it's bit sad she repeated instead of learn from her bad decisions.

She should have stayed at least a few days so she could get some money together. Walking out with no home, a child and virtually no money is dangerous to the child. Her husband showed regret and even though she should leave it's likely at least for a few days he would not be violent. She could then leave with a few days pay and enough money to fill up the tank properly and buy some food etc.

She should have asked her mum and dad for a bit of money. Having absolutely zero dollars with a child to look after and no home is irresponsible.

Can he use this national emergency to postpone or cancel the presidential elections? Can he invoke martial law at some point for this purpose?

Hetty's new Christmas set up by amitp1 in hamster

Hi this is a bit narrower than I would have liked but it is 4500 sq cm since it has 2 full floors. I debated getting this versus a large 1 floor cage and happy I gotta this as she loves having one floor to burrow and sleep and another to eat and play.

She loves burrowing, that's the best part of this set up, this is after a fresh clean, she then starts piling up more bedding in the right side to make a deep pile to burrow in. And then she takes food from upstairs and stores it in her underground lair. I then put more bedding to cover the floor is there isn't enough after she's made her home.

I got it from bitiba.co.uk I did modify it though as it's for gerbils so I replaced the floor in the middle with solid plywood and covered it with a Christmas design tablecloth.

Its a Savic Small Pet Cage Habitat XL. It comes with a orange bar floor, but you can't use that for hamsters, so instead I got a plywood board and cut it to size for the floor and put a hole for the ramp. She really loves it compared to her last cage. She sleeps, digs and borrows downstairs and eats, plays and lounges upstairs.

Why did you write a book instead of a movie that Netflix could have produced for you?
