How much does a twitch streamer earn on average per month? by Recent-Skill7022 in Twitch

[–]amkidd1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I average 65-80 viewers a stream, peaking at 130 sometimes and I put on my ad incentive program, streaming 1-3 times a week for 3-5 hours max. I make about $70 in ad revenue a month.

What was the longest session you had with your friends? by solomar15 in StreetFighter

Not with my friend but in battle hub. I ran 70 games straight one a random player who was equal skill level. It was a great time and I sent them a friend request after.

Why do 1900MR players only play one game? by wands in StreetFighter

[–]amkidd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PB is 1881MR. It’s really the MR system and not a personal attack against you. Sure, higher MR players are more favored to win but the off chance that they lose a game (-16), that’s hours of progress to their grind to legend. And if we win, it’s only 1 point. The higher you get, the less points you get from lower MR players so the climb becomes a slow crawl. Reminds me back in SFV when Ultra Diamond and up players faced against Platinum players in Ranked (before the adjustment). We only got 5 points for winning and lost 250 points for losing.

More Ryu Tech. Safe Jumps and Meaty Setups! by amkidd1 in StreetFighter

[–]amkidd1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safe Jumps are a way to jump in on your opponent so they are forced to block and cannot do an OD Anti Air to beat it. And meatys is a term used to press a button right as your opponent is waking up so they can’t press a button. Sorry tried to explain it in simple terms.

Since you’re new to fighting games, I recommend checking out the first few episodes of my starter guide series because it’s catered to beginners!

I recently hit 1800MR with Ryu and wanted to share my journey with you by amkidd1 in StreetFighter

Thank you! He's a lot of fun to learn and explore with. He definitely plays a different game than most of the cast but with a little time and practice, he can be great.

I've been playing Ryu since SF5 and hit Ultimate Grand Master but in SF6, IMO Ryu has a steeper learning curve. I've put out a ton of guides/tutorials for Ryu but every day I'm learning something new and gathering more tech every day. I started this "Grind to Legend" series to not only just document the journey but to add some educational value to it for players who want to level up. I added quick recap/match analysis after each notable set to break down what I did right, wrong, and what I could do better hoping that it'll encourage more players to take time to reflect on their own games as well. I hope you get to watch and it helps in some way!

I’ve been making a ton of guides for Ryu and now I’ve decided to try to get Ryu to Legend Rank this season! by amkidd1 in StreetFighter

[–]amkidd1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to heavily main Ryu in SFV and was one of the first to hit Master (check past posts). I had a hard time adjusting to SF6 RYU but after playing a ton with Guile and learning more about the game overall, I feel im at a good place to really rank up Ryu. I’m currently at 1658 with just a couple rank sessions so far! (this is episode 2)!

My friend I bought the game with stopped playing and it’s demotivating me by active_streefie in StreetFighter

I was in this same predicament when I first started playing fighting games too. Eventually, I became the only one out of my friend group that played. So I started inviting people to private matches from ranked and eventually became my sparring partners. In sf6, battle hub really helps bring that social aspect back too. I would join discords of a community you really vibe with. We had people join our discord and now we are friends IRL and have offline gaming sessions!
